Hi There!

had a decent day, head ache wise... although I still feel it now...but it's fading. Yay!
Was gross hot here... 80 and muggy...and too early for us Yankees to deal with! LOL... We're such wimps. The critters are out in force...and the Marshmellow tree was a mess... I'm sure the 4 baby coon were all over it...but I can't tell or show you all... since the cam didn't do it's job last night! Akkk! Go Figure!
David, I"m glad your dad was so invovled in your lives and got you all into the outdoor stuff! Awesome stuff. Hope your rust falls off soon and the coaching is a blast, esp. for the kids!

Have a great one, Heather

He loves to striper fish here at the local lakes (Smith Mountain and Claytor Lake) My brother fishes the bass tournaments around here alot. I would rather coon hunt but love going with Dad when I can. He has had his deal with skin cancer and about the only thing showing when we are out fishing is his eyeballs. Had first softball pratice last night and being I havent coached in almost ten years I am quite a bit rusty but will survive, just want the girls to have fun.

We were basically drifting with the tide with the lines on the bottom using what the local marina calls mud minnow. We tried squid and caught some but minnow was the best this trip. They hit the best when the tide was going out. Catching most in three to 10 feet of water. Our limit in Va is 17 and a half with four per person. If it were 14 we would have filled the coolers ( I wish it was) Whenever the tide gitsright , I can catch dozens of mudminners befo de tide can catch a breath. I shall pull a littlt flat botton boat out in front of the house tnight if it ainttoo breezy to se how many I can stick. Corky
Great post

OK... that would be SCARY!!! Real scary!

I wont know till the PM if I was able to fix up my cam. Sure hope so... it was a pricy one...and I wont ask Bob to buy me another..... as much as I love the pix it IS a luxury.

GORGEOUS out right now. The fresh air coming in the screen door is crisp and nice! I LOVE SPRING! Bob got to ride MY FatBoy to work this morning... first time, since his shingles made it impossible to ride... He texted me as soon as he arrived...I could SEE his smile in his words... He was SO happy to ride again. I think it was the BEST gift I could EVER have given him!

WOOooHOooo! Spring! NOW... if it will just dry up where you gardeners need it to dry up... and get moist where you all need moisture.... Hoping so.....

All we have so far out in Bob's "ugly garden" is a sage plant we dont use...LOL... and a WONDERFUL Catnip that my indoor kitty's totally love to smell when Bob grabs a leaf or two.... Hope Bob gets tomatoes again this year! I KNOW he'll have Basil going soon enough so he can make his famous pesto(yum!)

My black thumb (lol)will keep away from veggies... but I'll eat em!

have a Good day, Heather

Ah you are all such GOOD FRIENDS! LOL...

SO... I took apart the game cam... got a little deer tick out of it...and killed THAT.. BUT... I couldn't get the thing to work... When Bob got home he took it apart again... and used that canned air stuff to give it a good cleaning out.... and it appears to be working now... We shall see in the morning... BUT... It will be boring... since I went wild out there moving the birdfeeders and marshmellows... to the den cam LOL.... With MY luck I'll attract a BEAR now or something....lol....

Have a Good Night, Heather

Morn'n, well we had a line of thunderstorms move through just before dark last night. Like the ones that have headed our way over the last 9 months, it fizzled out before it got here. I got a whole 1/10. Well got a shot next Thursday, we'll see. We will get rain when the good Lord sees fit.

Have a happy and SAFE Memorial weekend. Remember the reason it is celebrated.

I am going flounder scouting tonight. Forgot to get a gigging license. They only cost 35 cents but I forgot to order one so I could get in alot of trouble if I took a gig. Also a girlfriend has a crabbing dock which means it goes bone dry for a couple hours at low tide. I'll have to get out to deeper water and can't get back till the tide gets deep enough. Hope it doesn't storm but it probably won't. Some early corn is burned up. Even the hip high corn stays twisted all day and night. I'll be using my son's GoDevil boat which runs real shallow which should shorten the time I'll have to stay out. Oh Oh , the license is expired on it. Always something. Guess I'll take a chance on that though. That white lightening head ought to work real good. I hope it's better about finding flounder than coons. LOL

GGGgggrrrrrrrrr!

No luck with the cam GRRRRRRRRR! BUT... I found the packaging, reciept AND..... I found that I DID force Bob to fill in the registration for warranty! WOoooHOooo... we MAY be able to at least get it fixed!

Will see this PM if the dencam got any decent pix, the marshmellows were all gone at least... so was ALL the birdseed in the bird feeder...LOL... probably a FEW squirrel pix anyway....lol...
Gonna be warm here today and I THINK dry. It was so many hours ago I saw that weather forecast...LOL...

Everyone have a good day, Heather
