The modern romance novel

He grasped me firmly, but gently, just above my elbow and guided me into a room, his room. Then he quietly shut the door and we were alone. He approached me soundlessly, from behind, and spoke in a low, reassuring voice close to my ear.

"Just relax."

Without warning, he reached down and I felt his strong, calloused hands start at my ankles, gently probing, and moving upward along my calves, slowly but steadily. My breath caught in my throat.

I knew I should be afraid, but somehow I didn't care. His touch was so experienced, so sure. When his hands moved up onto my thighs, I gave a slight shudder, and partly closed my eyes. My pulse was pounding. I felt his knowing fingers caress my abdomen, my ribcage. And then, as he cupped my firm, full breasts in his hands, I inhaled sharply.

Probing, searching, knowing what he wanted, he brought his hands to my shoulders, slid them down my tingling spine and into my panties. Although I knew nothing about this man, I felt oddly trusting and expectant. This is a man, I thought. A man used to taking charge. A man not used to taking ‘No’ for an answer. A man who would tell me what he wanted. A man who would look into my soul and say . . . .

"Okay ma'am, you can board your flight now."

Howdy all. Rain Drizzle Grey...AND for a bout ten minutes the sun shone in the window and I felt totally BLIND! lol... Then as I went out to do chores... it rained steadier. Go Figure. Like I said... no complaints... sure it's ugly and gross and slick BUT... it'll help later on in the summer and the little water critters love it. I saw my first salamander of the year today!
Hoping to see some SUNNY days soon though... If Bob doesn't mow soon we'll need a baler! lol...

Don't feel OLD! One day, if we're lucky... ours will be 43 too! Akkkkk! lol............

SUNNY here... but we're in watching the Bruins game! Bob got lots of outdoor chores done this morning. We are hoping and praying that... it will NOT rain later... Bob has GOT to be able to mow eventually... we're growing grass trees now...lol... gone beyond hay now! Bruins game WAY more important though!!! Go BRuins!

AND the Preakness this aftn... too much tv time! I'm just hoping that in between game and race... it wont rain when it's time for ME to go do outdoor chores!
It's pretty hot too BTW around 70 in the shade. I do not think the weather channel predicted it to get this warm.... I watched it this am and did NOT prepare for warm( got long sleeves on)... Dawg got HOT outside and cut his walk short to come in to nap!

OH... about the dawg, Webster. spoke with his neurologist a couple days ago. He is VERY pleased with where Web is NOW on his seizures (lack there of)... We will now keep him on 3 Keppra a day and only 1 1/2 phenobarbital 2 x a day. Pretty low dose now of the phenobarb. As nice as it would be to NOT give any phenobarb...there is too much risk of another big seizure. The Keppra seems to be keeping from having the jerks and he is a HAPPY dawg! He's not sleepy all the time, likes to play etc... he even WAGS his tail which he NEVER did as a young dawg! The fact he did SO well under all the stress at the graduations... the vet was happy.
SPeaking of graduation... Richard got his final grades and they were 2 As and 2 A-s. This was good BUT... not good enough to be Summa *** laude so he is "Just" going to stay at Magna *** Laude... poor kid (lol). He is satisfied that he got what he deserved(he was lazy in the 2 A- classes...since he was SO READY to be done with college!)... Better than I would have done if I had stuck it out in college....
SO... have a GREAT day, everyone! Heather

MOWING DONE!

WOoooHOooo! Bob got all the mowing done today! NO rain ALL DAY! WOW! lol...

Got some decent pix of the baby coons with momma at the den cam. Will have to work on getting some on the comp. Was going to do that today... but i'm nursing a headache, I think it is the third day I've had this one... doing pix on here is NOT good therapy! It ends up there are 4 babies in the litter Healthy as can be! cute too....

OK, keeping it short to get rid of the headache, promise I'll work on pix as soon as I feel up to it!

Later Gators, Heather

Morn'n, gona be a dry hot week down here. Lord knows we need some rain. Got at least 2 water hoses going 24-7. Was out riding yard dog and house dog on the mule Sat afternoon and jumped a hen turkey and 4 little ones. The little ones were big enough to fly and off into the trees they went. It was 97 in the sun and I also saw 2 coons drinking water in the pecan grove. Drip irrigation makes some nice mud puddles, looks like spring water coming out of the ground.

Hey Everyone!

Howdy doodie. Still have that derned headache... it wiped me out today bigtime. Dylan came home from school complaining that HE had a wicked headache... I'm thinking we have a bug of some sort... We'll live!
Not a bad day all things considered. Bit damp and dreary. Some of the fields in the area re getting plowed now... looks like SPRING!

Fishing on the Eastern Shore... Made me think of my dad. I LOVED fishing with him... I wonder if he fished much with his dad in MD as a kid? My grandy had an oyster business in the Ch. Bay...and they were on the water alot...but I don't recall my dad talking about fishing with his dad(of course my memory is also not great since my accident)... Anywhoooo some of my very favorite memories are fishing on the Atlantic with Fa in our boats for shark and EVEN more Better... Bridge fishing in the FL Keys... Oh my we got in SO MUCH trouble with my Mum...LOL... Fa was a plastic/cosmetic surgeon... and real careful of caring for skin...and we.... FORGOT the sunscreen! I got sun poisoning(and it shows under my eyes) We got home... and nearly got a whupping! lol... Gosh that day was a memory I'll never ever forget... SO FUN!
David, I hope your dad gets out fishing with you MANY more times and that your coaching season goes well also!

have a Great night everyone, Heather

Were you fishing at certain spots or were you trolling far and wide? We have a 14 inch limit but I haven't found them yet.

Posted by corky crowder on 05-24-2011 12:31 PM:

GOOD MORNING
HEATHER HOPE YOU GET WELL SOON

GOT THIS IN EMAIL
God and Lawn Care

God said: "Frank, you know all about gardens and nature. What in the world is going on down there on the planet? What happened to the dandelions, violets, milkweeds and stuff I started eons ago? I had a perfect no-maintenance garden plan. Those plants grow in any type of soil, withstand drought and multiply with abandon. The nectar from the long-lasting blossoms attracts butterflies, honey bees and flocks of songbirds. I expected to see a vast garden of colors by now. But, all I see are these green rectangles."

St. FRANCIS:
It's the tribes that settled there, Lord. The Suburbanites. They started calling your flowers 'weeds' and went to great lengths to kill them and replace them with grass.

GOD:
Grass? But, it's so boring. It's not colorful. It doesn't attract butterflies, birds and bees; only grubs and sod worms. It's sensitive to temperatures. Do these Suburbanites really want all that grass growing there?

ST. FRANCIS:
Apparently so, Lord. They go to great pains to grow it and keep it green. They begin each spring by fertilizing the grass and poisoning any other plant that crops up in the lawn.

GOD:
The spring rains and warm weather probably make grass grow really fast. That must make the Suburbanites happy.

ST. FRANCIS:
Apparently not, Lord. As soon as it grows a little, they cut it-sometimes twice a week.

GOD:
They cut it? Do they then bale it like hay?

ST.. FRANCIS:
Not exactly, Lord. Most of them rake it up and put it in bags.

GOD:
They bag it? Why? Is it a cash crop? Do they sell it?

ST. FRANCIS:
No, Sir, just the opposite. They pay to throw it away.

GOD:
Now, let me get this straight. They fertilize grass so it will grow. And, when it does grow, they cut it off and pay to throw it away?

ST. FRANCIS:
Yes, Sir.

GOD:
These Suburbanites must be relieved in the summer when we cut back on the rain and turn up the heat. That surely slows the growth and saves them a lot of work.

ST.. FRANCIS:
You aren't going to believe this, Lord. When the grass stops growing so fast, they drag out hoses and pay more money to water it, so they can continue to mow it and pay to get rid of it.

GOD:
What nonsense. At least they kept some of the trees. That was a sheer stroke of genius, if I do say so myself. The trees grow leaves in the spring to provide beauty and shade in the summer. In the autumn, they fall to the ground and form a natural blanket to keep moisture in the soil and protect the trees and bushes. It's a natural cycle of life.

ST.. FRANCIS:
You better sit down, Lord. The Suburbanites have drawn a new circle. As soon as the leaves fall, they rake them into great piles and pay to have them hauled away.

GOD:
No!? What do they do to protect the shrub and tree roots in the winter to keep the soil moist and loose?

ST. FRANCIS:
After throwing away the leaves, they go out and buy something which they call mulch. They haul it home and spread it around in place of the leaves.

GOD:
And where do they get this mulch?

ST. FRANCIS:
They cut down trees and grind them up to make the mulch.

GOD:
Enough! I don't want to think about this anymore. St. Catherine, you're in charge of the arts. What movie have you scheduled for us tonight?

ST.. CATHERINE:
'Dumb and Dumber', Lord. It's a story about....

GOD: Never mind, I think I just heard the whole story from St. Francis.

My dad use to hunt and fish but when my brother and i got to where we could hunt on our own he went to his biggest love and strictly fishes now. We had a blast catching probably over 150 flounder in two and one half days. He loves to striper fish here at the local lakes (Smith Mountain and Claytor Lake) My brother fishes the bass tournaments around here alot. I would rather coon hunt but love going with Dad when I can. He has had his deal with skin cancer and about the only thing showing when we are out fishing is his eyeballs. Had first softball pratice last night and being I havent coached in almost ten years I am quite a bit rusty but will survive, just want the girls to have fun.

Lyle
We were basically drifting with the tide with the lines on the bottom using what the local marina calls mud minnow. We tried squid and caught some but minnow was the best this trip. They hit the best when the tide was going out. Catching most in three to 10 feet of water. Our limit in Va is 17 and a half with four per person. If it were 14 we would have filled the coolers ( I wish it was)

Corky
