JJ - I made the mistake of hunting him without taking many pictures of him. Now I wish I had taken some nice pictures of him...I have a video of him and Scream if I can find it. I'll try to put it on here. Thanks for the pictures..

Hey Nathan, How are you and your family doing. Nice of you to offer some pictures of old Bubba. I'm sure you do have a couple of him. I've seen the ones that you posted. My favorite is the one with all of the mud on the tree he's on.. Got a young female off of Dwayne out of his Banjo dog from old Scream. Hope some of the old genes are in her. Grandson wants to try coon hunting. Thought I better get something going first..Wish me luck!

First and foremost congrats on staying true to your line of those ol potlickers! Lol..... No i really enjoy the pics you guys post of yesteryear i have one of Sam hanging on my wall i look at frequently sure does bring back alot of memories...good and bad ones...lol OL SAM will always be one of my favorites! Duane, Thank you for the kind words, you sure played a big role in turning my coonhunting fortunes around. If you hadn't sold Sam to Elwood, I would still be hunting redbones!! I never will forget the first time Elwood pulled her out of the box, and turned her loose. I didn't know what was happening!!! She treed more coon in 15 minutes then I had treed in 3 years. Doug and I went home that night speechless, but educated. No Joke!!! I like Rambler a lot, but he ain't his grandma!!

As for keeping this line of dogs going Dwayne, and Nathan have done all the work. I just lucked on to Rambler through Doug, and JJ has put all the effort into him. So I really can't take any of the credit for that! We absolutely need to get out one of these nights!! I would look forward to it. Thanks again!!! Tom

Purina Points

Tom I was just flipping through my bloodlines and saw Rambler made the book again this month with 100 Purina Points for last year for his cast win at the Ohio State Hunt! Hopefully I'll be able to get him to a couple more Purina Hunts this spring/summer/fall! Sure was cool seeing his name in the "famous" part of the book! haha

That sounds great JJ!! Hopefully things work out as planned, I have him scheduled for the vet on Thursday. Don't think they are going to do the surgery then, but they are going to look at it, and then schedule the surgery. I will let you know what they say. I have never used this vet before so I'm not sure what to expect, but if they call him Rambler Purdy, I may just get up and leave. I hope they treat him like a hound, and not my son. Those places make me sick anymore!!! LOL!!

This one is gonna be something special! The Rambler pups that are being hunted are starting to come on! Look for them in the hunts this fall or next spring! Rambler seems to be throwing some early starting pups!

All the competition hunters out there should think about getting a Rambler pup, they will get you in winner's circle!

Rambler has a few young litters on the ground right now and a couple to hit the ground soon.

Herb Mason has a female 12 week old pup for sale RamberXGrnite Trackman Female

Dwayne Horsley has some male pups 6 weeks old

Samuel Passwaters has a litter due within a month or so (2nd time cross) Couple from the first litter running and treeing before a year old.

There is a Gunsmoke female bred that should be due shortly

Tom has a litter out of his own personal female due in about 2 months

If Holly comes back in we will breed her back to Rambler again.

In the right hands Rambler pups will be making noise in the hunts within the next year or so!

Thanks, JJ for posting that I have pups but they are all spoken for. Once Tom picks his out all the others have a home.

They are a really nice set of pups. I can't wait to see them in the woods. I will post a picture sometime so you can see how they looks.

Samuel's, Hannah female had 10 pups on the 24th. This is the same cross that the Roxy female JJ is hunting is out of. They are very nice looking pups. Sam is a very nice young man to deal with if anyone is interested!!

Hey Tom, is this the same Hannah, Jake and I hunted with last year? If it is, I thought she was a heck of a nice little female! Really quick to get treed. Powder is gettin big. Her pups should be here around the 8th of Feb. How's Rambler doing, hopefully good!

Bruce - Last time I talked to Tom Rambler was doing pretty well. He had him home from the vet and he said everything was looking good. I'm not sure if that's the same Hannah female or not, but the from what I hear all the pups from the first litter that have been given a chance are doing well! I think that Powder litter should be an outstanding cross!

JJ is right Rambler is back home, he got a pretty nasty cut on his side, but seems to be doing well. Take care Bruce, and maybe we can get out sometime!!

Thanks Tom and JJ! It's great to see the interest in Rambler as a stud dog, especially in the mid to southern part of Ohio! This good ol old blood that is running in all these pups veins is rare stuff! I know there's lots of good blood out in the coondog world, but the stuff on this thread is what gets me excited.
I'm pretty sure, those Powder x Rambler pups will be a big ticket item in the right hands! I bet Jake and Greg will be pacing like expecting fathers next week! I wonder if there will be any open spotted pups in the bunch????? Looking forward to getting out again soon, Tom. Maybe one of these days we can hook up with JJ too, I'd like to go with you sometime.
Just kidding about the open spotted pups! Not that there's anything at all wrong with spotted up dogs.
