Sounds like you all had a good hunt and Im sure drifter is in good hands and will get alot of hunting time on him and he`s still close to you John.
Pup are looking great growing good and sunni is one of the best mothers i`ve had here yes two big litters.Its a good litter out of frozen semen. should be action packed and balanced.Thanks and Elmo you need to get one of these out in your neck of the woods.might be a shot or two of your good stuff in their.He he

PUPPIE UPDATE

GRNITECH CH`PR`BAKER`S PISTOL PETE PUPS ARE LOOKING GOOD AND GROWING.
8 FEMALES AND 4 MALES.
Pups will be performance paid up.working on Super Staking this litter.
If anybody is interested in breeding to Pete`s semen this is the year to do it,he will be paid up before the end of the month.Semen is at Nevergone.I know of 5 females that were A.Ied at Deans Bitzels and all has pups on the ground.Dean is very reasonable on his prices.
I also will have Kid paid up and he will be Performnaced and Super Staked for 2014.
I`ve been hunting Kids offspring and didn`t raise any litters off of him this year due to my work and hunting his pups.Don`t over look him he is one to concider is a very nice hound.he`s not perfect by no means he just has a knack to getting under a coon quick with or without company.I`ve been getting great reports on his offspring,outstanding mouths and quick starters and probably the best IMO is they seem to be well balanced.

Brought the pups in tonight and managed to get a picture of all twelve in one picture.21 days old today.Sunni has did great with them.I have two males left out of this litter and 5 female s not spoken for yet.I trimmed all the pups toe nails and this is alot of nails.

Thanks Matt,
Abbey has developed into a awsome hound in every sense of the word "hound" , wide open beautiful bawl mouth big game hound track speed and stays put. There are coonhunters, hide hunters, nite hunters and then there are houndsman. They all shine in thier particular time of year or accomodate the lazy or impatient hunter but most people have never seen a good hound and even more have never seen a truly great dog.
To each his own and the great breeders can perfect any style. Do not get me wrong any style can produce top dogs. I just like to get first strike with a beautiful mouth, drive the track out front and tree first locking the tree solid until I arrive . It should have a coon in it. Other than that I don't care what it does!
Matt you have done a great service to the bluetick breed and Warren Haslour by carrying on the Smokey River Hound Legacy.

Oh and by the way Kitt, Ruby ,Luke, Ginger and Penny are not hard to feed either

You give them a chance and they seem to shine.Its rewarding as a breeder of couple litters a year to hear the good reports or get to see them in action first hand.I`ve said it many times how blessed i`ve been to have started with a great foundation and keep adding a little more fuel to the fire as to say with each cross.The hardest thing is to get the pups in the right hunters hands.Like you said their are all types of hunter`s.I really like a balanced hound and prolly a little heavy on the driving track skill to suit me.I want to wish you luck with your HOUND`S & THE MEADOWOODS KENNEL.

A cross on the ground now. Philip Whitley in Salyersville Ky.bred to a son off of Tree Daddy and Eli. `Dodger`is the sire.Philip said female is vaughn bred.
Call Philp for pups his number is 606-496-6227. philip is a good guy and will tell you all the good and bad about both hounds.

Pups are real nice growing real nice.I `m watching them close.I `m keeping a female or two forsure.still have all 12 and they sure love to eat.I do have a few left to sale.
Picked up another win with Kid tonight.One more to go and John Gill had a nice score at RedBone Days with Penny.i`m not sure if he placed or not. When I find out I`ll post.

Nice job Matt, Your Kidd is definately a nice hound. My Kitt female is very balanced one of my favorites. Penney scored 875 out of a possible 900 points this weekend . Tree daddy was an asset to the breed I believe and time will show just how infulentional he was.

Yeah the only way they could beat me was to vote a minus on penny which she didn't deserve and vote on a coon that wasn't there. I told master of hounds to go ahead and plus them and give me the minus I still won I was so far ahead. But since I have a Smokey River hound and she is leading performance points in blue females I got scratched is what I believe happened ...just my opinion

Thanks Damon, Yeah they said penny came in and sat at thier feet after she struck. We were standing on track it was cold at that. She made a circle picked it up never stopped and drove in deep and had the meat!! She was flawless Then they slicked treed and they voted themselves a coon. Still couldn't beat her Threatned to beat me up ........... The cast from hell!!

I `ve had a few cast that were bad,I can count them on one hand, only had one question brought back in all the years of running the hunts.most MOH will throw out the cast if no one agrees to a situation and it gets out of control.the man that threatened you should have been wrote up.Don`t get discouraged & try to learn from it.Penny is a tough hound and will turn heads when she is on her a Game.Sounds like she spanked them hard both night and you know what hound did the best in your cast and really that s all that matters.Penny is two years old and she has proven she `s a winner already.
She will finish to grand with no problem.Keep up the good with her she is a Dandy.

Pups are doing great for a big litter.Sunni raised 12 in both litters.
I like the way the pups act and are doing very well.I`m keeping a pair for myself and I have a few that need hunting homes.this should be a outstanding cross of coonhounds.

What were they smoking I know penny she does not stand at anyone's feet but a coon and its in a tree sounds like its the only way they could beat you!they can have there make believe champions you and me will stick with are real ones!that deserve it!

Damon,i`ve seen Penny in action several times you turn her loose you get her off a tree somewhere.she smoked more than one hound and even put on me couple times ha ha ( Bitter sweet moment) I was smiling the whole time.time to move forward with her she is a winner.way I look at it its done over with.

The focus is and always has been on producing top quality bluetick hounds. Hit the reset button and go to the next event.

The good nights far out wiegh the bad, met some great people and seen some outstanding hounds. We've won our share and then some. And i tip my hat to those who donate thier time to run these events I know that at times it can be a thankless job.

And that is the end of that!!!

Ruby a full sister to Dual Grand Ginger that was Queen of hunt at Ashland last year.the cross Ruby and Ginger is out of was done twice both time`s making top hounds.Ruby has a big mouth on her and is a well tight made hound.Quick about getting struck and treed. Kid and Ruby are both out of Tree Momma Sis.

GRNITECH`PR`STILLWATER FARMS TURBO BLUE (KING OF HUNT AT ASHLAND) was a full brother to SIS so a half brother sister cross doubling up Tree Daddy and Sadie Mae,with a mix of Droop Blood. I`ll post a ped later.
