Lol. Somebody somewhere sometimes will be offended by a word, life goes on regardless of what anyone thinks or says. Words are just that and the same word may have several different meanings, it's just the way it's expressed that causes concern for some folks. Take hillbilly or redneck, to me both words are disrespectful when expressed with disdain or scorn by the user. I really hate it when some low class person living in a housing project up North refers to all Tennesseans as being hillbillies or redneck, but I DO NOT take it serious as I consider the source. Truthfully, there are lots of bias within all races and there are lots of words that are used to disrespect others than otherwise have no derogatory meaning in themselves. Treat everyone the way you want to be treated and the problems will go away. Dave

Coonslayer... XBOX removed my gamer tag and changed it citing that it was a warning to not use racial terms. I even had people threaten my life over it... We live in a messed up society. United States of the Offended... and it doesn’t matter what someone says, it’s gonna offend someone...

That's about all that they are right about. Lincoln was a racist. Anyone that believes that the Emancipation proclamation freed slaves needs to read that document carefully with their thinking caps on.

It was declared twice. And would only effect states that FAILED to STOP fighting the WAR TO SECEDE.

If they stopped fighting slavery would continue in those states

The Emancipation proclamation to me was a scam perpetrated on the Northern states population to give a justifiable reason for the war. The North had no taste for the war to fight the South.

The Emancipation proclamation only was supposed to free slaves in Confederate held territories which couldn't be done. It did not free slaves in the states that remained in the Union. It did not free slaves in the counties of Confederate States that were under Union control. Thus, this great document freed no one.
