-- Garmin Bark Collars- looking for opinions (http://forums.ukcdogs.com/showthread.php?threadid=928527635)
I used to be like this, garmin bark collars on everything 24/7, then I wised up and got rid of the freakin barking idiots that were to dumb to shut up. I believe this is mostly genetic and got me some new dogs that are way more laid back in the kennel don’t bark all day and night or run in their crap. Sorry folks but this is the answer.

I've tried several bark collars.... always disappointed in all of them. For the money you spend on them.... they all shocked my dogs for no reason at times... and all of the seemed to wear out pretty quick and not work consistently.
I think Musky's advice is best.... make a well mannered hound as much as a priority in your breeding and selecting as any other hunting trait.
I quit using the expensive bark collars, and bought one of these cheap remote collars from Amazon (see link below). I use it for all obedience training around the house. If I can't break them from kennel barking with it... I don't need that dog.
