Dog food alone doesn’t have high enough quantity’s alone.
I’m not singling you out H DOG but coonhunters as a whole are tighter than dicks hat band. I don’t understand they will spend $30-40,000 plus for a truck, $3-400 for a light most have multiples, $600+ for a box $700+ for a tracking system, $3-5000 for a descent dog but they will complain that feeds to high because it cost more than $1.00 a day to feed a dog. Fish oil and glucosamine more than $1.00 a day. Then they complain because ole high ball don’t want to get out of the box or ain’t sinking in the country like he should. I’m not saying this stuff is a magic elixir but you want him to run around the country covering several miles a night. Up ridges down ridges over banks up banks over logs under logs . You go do it and tell me it doesn’t effect your joints.

We will not feed our dogs pro plan or any Purina products because they all have a meat by product in them which in turn means a 3D meat which means it contains dead, dying or diseased. We have spent to much money on theses pups so they are going to get the best kind of feed. Which we found a great feed it’s made by sport mix its grain free and by product free it’s called SPORTMiX® CanineX™ Chicken Meal & Vegetables Formula and it’s 32/25 and the protein is way higher than pro plan. Sorry I am definitely not trying to be rude are judge anyone but that’s how I feel about the dog food. Also when our pups get older and actually start hunting we probably will be giving them something with Glucosamine in it to help with there joints and all that.

I'm not trying to be rude either, but you're over thinking this dog food thing. I've been feeding Purina for 60 years with no problems.

A lot of dogs are allergic to cedar chips. I had one that her eyes would completely matt over, so if you're using them pay attention. I've found that orchard grass hay is one of the best beddings. Smells good and doesn't break down into little pieces and dust like straw.
