-- Hunt what makes you happy!! (http://forums.ukcdogs.com/showthread.php?threadid=928520109)
I went thru several phases in my coon hunting life. First I was a very young husband and dad. So I hunted a very pathetic hound (all I could afford). I ran faster to the tree than they did (would not stay). Second, I got a VERY good job, matured a bunch. Bought at that time a very high dollar dog (cheapest dog) I ever owned. So the next 45 yrs. I was real hard to please, very critical of my dogs. And now over 70, it is just being able to go and enjoy my buddies and the hunt. I still have 2 nice hounds, but I am happy just being able to go. Thank Hoss for this thread.

Roy this about sums it up for me also.
I had a Friend come into the store yesterday who is 77. We sat and talked for awhile and I realized how age seems to do just what you said. Go and Just enjoy your Buddies and the Hunt.
