Sorry to hear and condolences to his family and close friends.

I only knew him from this message board but thats going back 20 years, probably. He was interested in a pup from a litter of mine from just a couple years back but he was probably lucky he didn't get one.

I have always respected what he had to say, even when I disagreed. His was the voice of experience, common sense, knowledge and honesty. He was perhaps a little blunt but rarely, if ever, personally insulting. A good man....

Never knew the man. My loss by the looks. Would he have been the owner of Sizemore's Blue Scout back in the 1970's? If my memory serves me right the Scout dog was close up, maybe even the sire of 1975 World Ch. Emmons Brush Creek Blue? Got my very first blue dog in Jan. 1978. Her grand sire was Brush Creek Blue on her sires side. Sizemores Scout showed up in her 3 gen. pedigree. Wow, lots of water over the dam since then!

Jim

Rest in peace, WE have lost a good one, he was well respected on this board. I would have enjoyed meeting him and no doubt he had many friends in the coon hunting community. Dave

Eight or nine years ago, a few miles west of Goshen, IN while hunting with Claire Hostettler on a frosty November night I met Jim and his sidekick Adrian on the edge of a patch woods. Later, on one of a half dozen or so hunts and phone calls we shared, I would give him a hard time about his prized female coming into our Plott and Redbone female that night. He was probably honest to a fault at times but I don’t think I ever heard him run another man down. He new a good dog and always had one on his lead strap. He thought the world of Marv Schmucker and Adrian, ole Janice Joplin and Kate. He had been seriously ill, much sicker than most folks will ever realize for many years but fought a helluva fight without complaining. Rest easy friend.

Going to be missed for sure, one of the things that I enjoyed was reading his post, I enjoyed his to the point, blunt answers! One of the things I had on my bucket list was to pack up and go meet him in person and go hunting with him, sorry to say I never got it done, no dought in my mind it would have been a good time!
