If, I were you here is what I would do. Go to the UKC main page and search some of their upcoming hunts. Find one close to you and call the contact person and see if they know anyone in your area. Use to be several people around the Corbett Area that coon hunted. I know Palm Beach is a big area and I am not sure where your located. But I am sure you could find someone within a hour of you that could help you out.

Bruce

Yea I was thinking maybe hang around a few of the hunts and get a feel for things, I’m sure someone there has some dogs for sale and I bet there’s someone who’ll bring me under their wing. I just gotta get out there. I know there’s one in late January that’s not that far so I’ll try to make it to that one

Sorry I'm late to the thread. I don't live in Florida but know a bunch of guys who do. I've never hunted down there but my wife's family is all in Florida and I've always wanted to.

Anyway, there used to be a coon club that put on UKC events in Palm Beach County. I don't know who the officers were but maybe you'll find someone who used to be a part of that club who still hunts. There was also one a little further south near Miami if I'm remembering right.

You'll find most of your hunters are in Central or North Florida but if you can find someone around where you live they should be able to help you find spots to hunt and meet others. Good luck!

That’s right where I am, do you know how recently they stopped hosting events? Finding someone around Palm Beach would be awesome. Nowadays there’s hardly any land here and it’s all being bought up and developed unfortunately, it’s a real shame.

Thanks for that, do they do hunts in the summer in Florida or is it too hot? Lol

Some clubs probably still have hunts. I imagine the website only shows hunts so far out.

I think the club in Palm Beach County stopped having hunts 6 or 7 years ago. I wish I had some info for you but I don't.
