Part of it ! Other part is you have to pay to put up a question. You loose the question you loose your money. You take a panel back to a tree if your wrong you loose your money and get a time out. There is no penalty in ukc for asking stupid questions or being immature.

Good point. Frivolous reaching questions are not brought back. I've been at major events where they are hunting for $$,$$$ and still very few questions are ever brought in. I'm hoping this cast win thing will help out some of the clubs that have issues more frequently.

This is one thing I agree with Jack Bingham on..... our club IA0038 will not be hosting UKC events for the first time since 1987. We can't find anyone who is willing to be a UKC coordinator and HD. No one is willing to sit at the club house and give up the chance to hunt their own dog. IF they are willing to do it they expect $$$$ and then the club isn't making anything to keep the doors open.

LET THE HD HUNT... it seems to me that it is what the hunters are wanting. UKC please listen to the Hunters on this one.

I agree with Jack also. I think that the HD should be able to hunt ...but... You only have 7 hunts a year. Surely you have 7 members. They would only have to be HD for 1 hunt a year each. Is it that big of a deal? If they can't be HD for that 1 time, make it their resposibility to get someone else. It sounds to me like no one in your club wants to hunt in UKC hunts. If they do then someone will have to step up. Everyone wants to hunt but no one wants to put forth the effort to have the hunts.

You are exactly correct.....everyone wants to show up, enter, show and hunt their dog, grab their yellow slip, and go home.

Most guys aren't willing to send in the paperwork to the DNR, Get paperwork from UKC, Load the benches, go get the key at the park office, drive to the clubhouse and open up and set out benches, take entries, judge the bench show, fill out win slips, take hunt entries, sleep while everyone else is hunting, fill out win slips, sweep the clubhouse, mop if needed, take out the trash, Load up benches, lock up, take the key back to park office, unload the show benches, and then forget to mail the hunt report and have to pay a late fee (out of their own pocket) because at 4:30 am the last thing on their mind was going to the post office to mail the report and it got put in packet and forgotten until the next event.

Oh and by the way.... do all of this for free while their own dog sits at home and can't be hunted because someone at UKC feels it would cause "INTEGRITY" issues.

Our club has decided to host PKC events where ALL of our members can enjoy their hounds and nobody is punished for trying to help out.

IT is a sad day in my opinion, but I am tired of fighting the fight.
