Keep just 2 classes separate. Titled dogs and non Titled. I can't speak for everyone else but I'm willing to bet few have hit more hunts then me over the last 10 years. I enjoy competing and I enjoy supporting the local clubs. When I grand my dogs out as 1 year olds what am I supposed to do for the local level?

Allow Grands a chance at the points sometimes going to the Nite Chs and you'll have more show up. Maybe not at first but if UKC ciukd come up with some incentive to get people out they will come back.

If UKC does something like this , which i hope they do, and then turn around and put an age limit on the dogs, I don't see any gain. unless there is another incentive they have in mind

In Allens first post, last sentence there is a hint of another program for older dogs. I am just curious what that might be.

Not sending out checks less than $50, will put thousands of dollars in the following years fund with no added expence to anyone. It will save UKC a ton of money on postage, labor, paper, & time. Everyone likes to recieve money, but less than $50 won't hardly buy a months feed..

$20 entry at UKC with 4 dogs gets you maybe $40-$45? that's why I asked in my previous post how much 1 dog is worth. I would rather take my buddies and win a hunt category with 8-10 dogs versus 4.

And what if my buddies don't want to go Tar? I guess I could just meet you in Missouri.

When are you going to find the time to go down there if your farming?

1. I like ideal being pay up dogs older 12 months. (Just bought pup 13 months old i would pay extra have PP)

2. No age limit!!!

3. I agree not pay out checks less $50.

4. Also being able to pay up a litter at higher price that isn't out of PP sire would made big difference for me and my choices last few years.

And as far as money goes I averaged around $80 per open win I got last year. Might not pay the bills but sure pays my gas and entry back. And buys little dog food also. No complaints on point value here.

I don’t like the idea of paying a liter up that’s Not sired by a performance sire, PKC did that with the super stakes and two years later they was on the phone trying to get donations. The stud dogs made the super stakes and pay
70% of the performance funds that gets paid out.

Would like to be able to pay a pup up after there one year old just pay a little more.

I am with Tim when I had stud dogs people would tell me I will not buy a pup or breed to your dog if it's not ss and performance at 1/12 yrs old here they come wanting to sell it back to you with it still on pup papers ain't no man that believes in his program won't buy it back but he should be able to pay it up.

no age limit. the 4 and older dogs can't be eating into it that much.

like many others, be able to pay up after a year old. just at a higher premium.

i really don't see many guys ever bringing grands back out much.

i don't really worry about paying up a pup. sure it pays if they turn out but most pups ya just don't know till there after a year old weather or not there anything that will suit. so my figures are why pay up 10 pups till ya find 1 that suits. even if every other pup turns out to suit ya till its all said and done well no biggy.
yep i would pay them up when the time is right if possible . there is not a good reason any dog at any time or age of any breeding shouldn't be eligible.

12-18 mo.old fee=$200. After 18 months its no longer a pup, its a dog.

Allow a DNA profiled sire to register 1 litter a year for $200 and require the litter to be paid up.

I find it hard to believe that anyone that can’t or won’t pay a pup up for $30 will pay $200 for the same pup that is now a year old, wouldn’t take me but one time paying $200 to figure out its cheaper to pay the liter up!

I agree, but if they're gonna wait to see how good a pup is before deciding to pay it up it should be a costly decision. If Performance Points get around $200 again its a no-brainer though, pay the $200 win it back in a hunt.

Hook the vendors up with a ukc store where a percentage of sales go to this program and our youth program..For the vendors that would like participate ..The ones that dont that expressed this sentiment awhile back on another post let them do their own thing..Example--ukc customer buys a alpha..800.00 @2% percent to fund =16.00 ..Free money that you as the hunter were going to spend any way..This increases payout and maybe participation increases!

Just an observation...all KC's are in a similar place with trying to increase participation in a sport that is fading fast at the club level. It's not exclusive to UKC. We've been talking about fixing this performance program for most of it's existence, as well as state races and year end hunt offs or whatever. People came running home after I think was Autumn Oaks last year saying change is coming...yet here we sit. We gotta wait three years here to get the wording changed on a rule that UKC brass is clearly wants changed...and it doesn't get changed because somebody else makes those decisions. Same discussion goin on the other board right now about club level participation. The difference is two weeks ago somebody had a good idea....PKC brass liked it....kicked back a couple dif spins on it....and one of them will likely be in effect In three months. That's how ya get $hit done !

I've been a UKC supporter for a long time but the time for talking is over. Do SOMETHING!! Make something happen.

If you take a female to a stud that is not a performance sire there should be a fee to still performance the litter

Here’s one of my questions...

What is the AVERAGE lifetime earnings of a performance pup?

Sorry for asking and pretty sure I won’t get an official answer.

There can only be one winner per cast. Just because they enter a hunt don’t take anything away from the point value.
