Guys my dad is not as dumb as everyone thinks. He may say some goofy stuff sometimes but that's just him. What he talks about on here are facts. He just wants everything to go back to the way it was. Good hunts and good fun. Idk if it ever will but at least we can say we tried. Can't knock a man for trying to make something he loves and devoted many years to. Just to go back to where it was.

Ps I know some of you guess are friends of my dads. I know yall like to mess with each other.

Dumb? Tar is sly as an old fox, nothing dumb about him. He might not be a good poker player, but he is a good entertainer. We ALL would like for things to be like they used to be, especially the hunts having 10~15 casts . Unfortunately, those days are over and not likely to return for MANY reasons. Clinging to the past will n't change anything, it just makes it harder to enjoy the present. I used to hunt boundaries of timber that has been clear cut, thousands of acres of prime hardwoods gone! I would sure like to have it back. We either adapt to changes or get left behind. Dave

I agree on alot of what you stated same thing here with land.
But what I can't get to sink in is that what going on is not being noticed. Theres lots of guys not just my dad that have devoted many years to all kcs. All there asking is for help. Maybe changes to benefit the small clubs and hunters that have spent there hard earned money on papers and fees just to get to go to a hunt not even a big hunt to just have fun. It's hard for me to sit and see something I grew up around just fade away. And maybe its different up north that i can't comment on. But down in the south we need help. And if something doesn't happen all this coonhunting down here will be gone. That's alot of hard work and time gone to waste. Just hard to swallow for me. Alot of us want to move into the future but unless we get some help or guidance I dont see it happening. I willing to do my part. I would step up in a heartbeat to help better something i have been apart of for many years. And iam sure Iam not the only one. I dont know much about the paper work of running a club but I do know how to deal and talk to people and treat them fair. I have worked in a very customer based company for 13 years. I have delt with people from all over the US to even other countries.

Oh my goodness, when will y'all ever learn? You can't go back. You can only go forward. That is one of those facts of life that you cannot change. Just like every day you don't get younger, you get older. If there is a problem with the hunts and hunters in Texas then the hunters in Texas will have to fix it. Tarbaby, you sound like a bunch of Democrats wanting the national government to step in and fix your problems. It sounds like y'all are saying, "we pay our taxes, so we want UKC to fix the problems that we created". But at least you raised a good Republican in Corey. It sounds like he is on the right track.

Tarbaby, I never flipped or flopped. I have never been a fan of tax and spend. We actually can agree on a few things, but sometimes you use Tarspeak to say the opposite of what you really think just to aggravate people and get them to respond. And none of the guys on that other board agreed with me.
