I wasn't there so my vote would only be an assumption of whats been typed on here. But from what I read I say No. I wouldn't award the win. To much controversity. Chey is about the most honest God fearing man on here, if he says something is B.S. then I have to believe that. Its a tough break.

The whole misconduct thing being investigated is strictly on what happened at the zones nothing to do with our world hunt cast. And yes most of us knew there was misconduct filed on him after the zones it wasn't some big state secret.
But I will not let anyone lie about what happened on our cast on Friday night of the World Hunt and to answer the previous question yes he treed his dog through the non hunting guide and had it handled at a tree when myself another cast member and the judge were 600 yards away scoring my tree which was a coon this left me leash locked because in the judges words "we don't know what Sambo is doing" I told him he should have never let him walk away same thing I told him when he let him walk with the guide and the other cast member so he could hear his dog to begin with. The other cast member was Nick Brady Tucker had already been treed in and he was sent with the guide to go handle his dog and wait on the rest of us. Yes him handling Sambo without the judges permission was questioned and when Nick got scratched for cussing at the club house the MOH just deleted the tree and Sambo was not scratched. There was also my question of the disappearing time which the judge had down to 9min, there should have been over an hour and 20 min, they finally found more time and 38 min & 40 sec were given to go hunt instead of 9. Apparently if there is a question on a cast every person needs to question the call in case someone gets scratched lol. At the beginning of the hunt all dogs were barking before we had even cut the stike should have been split and I should have requested it and the score would have been tied but after everything else that took place I doubt the judge would have. I did all I could congratulated him took my 5th Place trophy.
I do hope that after this mess UKC will change some policies that this kind of thing is taken care of before the finals start and that there can be appeals at the finals.

Gentlemen, I personally do not know any of the hunters involved, but I can say that Cheyenne Cummings has a upstanding reputation. Some of my aquaintances know him and have nothing but good to say about him and his dog/s. Saying that, I would respectfully ask all involved to tone it down. We gain nothing by fighting on a public forum, does anyone really believe UKC'S decision will be decided by what is posted on this forum? We should all hope not, by now they should have most of the information they need to make a decision. Will their decision please everyone? Not in a million years, bottom line is that it is UKC'S call like it or not. Dave

I've hunted with chey enough to know he is as straight up as they come and if he says something, take it to the bank! Ukc picked some bull $#(! Judges and they know they did! Makes me want to puke!!! They have had all the opportunity to make changes with rules and policies to prevent things like this and don't make any changes because they DO NOT GIVE A CRAP! I thought what happened at youth nationals was bad. But this took the cake. DONE.

I don't hunt much UKC but just in case I decide to start let me get this right. 3 dogs say we got Chey huntining mafia, Brady hunting Tucker, and Robbie huntin sambo. Non huntin judge and non Hunting guide.
Ok Chey strikes and trees mafia through the country, we walking Brady ask to stop he hears Tucker lumbered up the other direction and trees him. Judge sends Brady and guide to handle Tucker doesn't Robbie remain with the judge? Why in the world would he be with the guide? The guide can take the calls?
I personally don't care who wins the UKC world won't be me I personally think theirs alot of politics involved but that's my opinion but I am fasinated with the UKC rules.
My question is I can go with the guide and if I hear my dog I can tree him and go handle him with out the judge?

Hoss there were 4 dogs on this cast other handler was with me and judge. As for your question on what the actual rules say the rules say your scratched, but not in this years semi finals. And this isn't even what all the fuss is over on misconduct it's over a whole nother situation from the zones.
Personally my give a dang is busted I just responded because of misinformation being posted to get the truth out.

Like i said I don't care who won it. I'm just curious about the rules. UKC rules have always fasinated me because it seems even the master of hounds doesn't even know them. But it doesn't make sense to me how the guide can take the call. Especially when he doesn't know the said dog is treed in. I mean for all he knows you suppose to recut.
I went to the purina nationals to handle a dog for a buddy of mine one year and after that I said I wouldn't hunt in another one it was crazy. We stood at the edge of a feild for 7 mins while 3 dogs were handled on a tree mine was still trailing other direction talkin about the weather weather while waiting to squaw. Lol i told them to go ahead mine had no buisness in here but they acted like it was a sin.
Next night dogs were split and mine was trailing they said they could lead as far as they wanted from there tree toward mine. No minute and cut like I'm use to. They led right on top of mine and cut about the time mine come treed. Nothing against any body that likes to hunt UKC i think a man should lead what he likes and hunt were he likes but it just ain't for me. Good luck to all y'all and I hope UKC gets it figured out but I don't see how you can figure out this mess

Jen and Cheyenne why I said this is I am old school I can tell a lot about a guy when i am shaking his hand looking him in the eye to me I am just ready for this to be over its went on long enough don't care how it goes either way but if there are not some changes tar will not be making any long drives to major events any more just not cost effective.

This is all just a prime example of why competition hunting and coon hunting in general is about to be a thing of the past. All these cast members and judges that know the rules so well, yet they allow rules to be broken so they can come back and file a misconduct complaint and get a win. Why didn't someone point out that y'all were going to follow the rules and were going to stay together and find out WHICH DOG WAS THE BETTER DOG THAT NIGHT! A child should be able to take the best dog to a hunt and win because everyone in the cast should be insuring that the best dogs are advancing. Instead, all these upstanding individuals are winning by sometimes having a better dog, sometimes getting a lucky break, sometimes keeping their mouths shut while someone makes a mistake so they can scratch them later on. ITS ALL CHEATING! You boys just spin the story to favor the outcome you want. laughable that these LITTLE BOYS will go to such lengths. Keep on running this train into the ground boys! Your doing great!

Seems the other party wanting to strip Sambo of the title should also be on some sort of watch list. At the finals with 2 of the 3 cast with competition against other dogs and having problems isn't good either.

No way a hour and 20 min was left after going to and scoring your dog and the female I think your watch is broke if you believe that , the time that was given back was that that was used to score the deleted trees so just put the correct facts in your statements and don't accuse judges and you will be ok

I was there only thing blowing is you, now if we had not scored the female out of order that no one has complained about they would have had no time left ,ust the facts. Sambo won this cast fair and square.
