Team player tar.
I did not like rattle shaker. He was out of a lipper bitch that's were it come from lol. I liked rattle snake he was not flashy but I seen him score 600+ in a 1 hour hunt. My dogs got rattler and lipper about 5 times each anything they do good it's because of rattler anything bad it's lippers fault lol.

Here is a picture I took yesterday afternoon of an old and wore out Wipeout female out of Zeb Again.
This female is 8 years old and I have had her for about half of those years and she has never seen a thyroid pill.
This year in PKC she finishing in the top 16 in IN with right at $1800 won. She won a truck ticket for the Senior Truck Hunt next spring. She just came back from the PKC world hunt where she was hunted one night and won early with 400 plus points and lost late because after treeing a coon she decided to tree a slick persimmon tree. Don't think the Thyroid had anything to do with that. This dog is near perfect around the house. She has had two litters and a 3rd place SS winner came from the first litter. Her total winnings I am not sure of as they keep adding up but around $14,000 is probably a good guess.
So before anyone lumps all Wipeout dogs as needing Thyroid pills please do some more research. I have also had several others that never saw a Thyroid Pill either.

Hey TAR, Where is this Marietta, is it in Ohio? Man if you want to jump on all these boards and dish it out you got to be able to take it, and you have to have the Horse Power to go with it...... Lets start a thread about all the Holes that are in those Yadkin Tar Rattler dogs, you seem to know a lot about them, what is some of thier hang ups? or do you want me to start? HeHeHeHeHeHeHeHe! LOL!!! Ps, I owned one of the best sons of Old Yadkin Jeff, and I'm sure he was hunted with Rattler, Crowder, and Champ back in the day. They say he was the best of that group. They also put him in the Hall of Fame the same year they put Yadkin River Jeff in.. If your an expert with the Yadkin River dogs, Name this dog... Later
Marietta okla lol. Never had much experience with the yadkinriver dogs till Delton got rattler they suit me but far as holes they either make it or they don't just like anything else but their style being real thorough about the way they operate and not blowing past coons in this ruff country and not being hard to break is what I like far as the wipeout dogs I only have hunted with 3 in my life I just was teasing Bruce he knew it lol. Some dogs are popular in terrain that allows them to operate the way they do wipe out dogs will break you from hunting here. If you call it a hole chief , Deacon , and now Fred don't like the ivory at the tree they will back up and get out of the way and maybe even leave but will be alone the rest of the night if with a ruff dog got plenty of heart just not that way.
Well
This should get interesting!!!

We all like a dog that performs to our standards. We have a bunch of different breeds and bloodlines that perform for their owners. If any one person had the secret sauce there would be a traffic jam in front of his house 24/7.

First slick treeing idiot that was ever marketed was tar rattler 😂😂😂.. That SOB produced loud mouth tree dogs for sure.. And them sap suckers would stay hell or high water.. but you had to breed him to them good Lipper bitches and then you had something.. Rattler was the best thing in the world that come along back in them days because he for sure put the brakes on them running son of a guns. The most balanced dogs I ever raised were off tar rattler and Lipper females. I had other rattler offspring out of other females not out of Lipper and they treed way to much and where on the lazy order. This is going to put tar into orbit, but he knows where I stand and I know where he stands.. Lol

Man, These Wipeout dogs got thyroid problems, kidney failure, and cancer, and as bad a shape as there in, they still whip anything you put in front of them . UNBELIEVABLE!!!
Jay me and you are on the same page I just like to be honery lol. I can't argue with you because everything I got is pretty much a lipper X rattler cross didn't see the slick treeing much because I would not allow it but they are some of the best fastest track dogs I have ever hunted seen bozz tree coons other dogs could not even open on he was out of shaker !! Seen Deacon have to go a mile to find a coon but I scored 750+ one night closest dog had 200+ and never lost sight of the pickup granny scored 1200+ at the Oklahoma state championship Fred as a 2yr old went to the world hunt needs 3 wins to grand not much slick treeing here but I don't allow them to.
👍👍

Actually Tar I look at it the other way around. A lot of accurate track hounds from the wipeout breed have plugged several holes in some slick treeing bloodlines. Tar most men will never breed for balance because of egos. Most of the time what you need to balance your dogs is in someones elses pen. But you breed your own line till you box it into a corner. Lots of good dogs out there from several lines. Doesnt hurt to go with the best even if its in your buddies pen.

Crossed on the right stuff he did pretty good. Rat on Clover was a good cross. Rat on the foundation whipeout stuff was a good cross, but other than that he set us back 20 years.

I don't know what your talking about them sailor dogs in jeffs pedigree were track running son of a guns and Jeff threw it too these dogs of mine make a lot of dogs look stupid unraveling a bad track only hunted with rattler once he was 10 yrs old and that night he was 2 for2 with the coons and they were not easy ones either and would still drown out most people's brag dogs buuuuuut ole nailor was a rattler x lipper cross ( ole 30 blanks ) but he reproduced.
Lucy you got some esssplaining to do lol !
quote:Lol, the cold hard truth is,it was the gyps faults that were bred to them both and they ain't the only $tuds that were bred to them, the big time list goes on. I remember rattler as a young dog and before him Jeff. I had male straight out of lipper, nice super loud tight mouthed powerhouse built hound. Mr Meeks knew hounds and hunted them d**n hard. He stated then where breeding was heading back then, and he was right. There was plenty of coons here then so people wanted ambush style dogs because they could tree more coons quicker. I know I hide hunted as a teenager. As far as a track dog that would open on a cold track and drive it,beating a tight mouth dog to tree.they accused them of running deer or babbling. There was only one problem with their thinking, back then the circle I hunted with we culled both. With the exception of pacman and select others the track dogs were fast vanishing even in eighty's. Then along came wipeout bred hounds and the old style tracking dogs with speed was saved. The majority kept breeding wham bam treed to popular tree dog stud's. I didn't want to face it either for a long while, but Mr Kiddy saved the walker breeding single handedly, period; breeding thanks to F.R. gyp to flat rock coma.

We raised Shaker and snake both they were brothers. Shaker was older. I trained snake. Clay Scott trained Shaker. Snake was ok but I liked Shaker allot better. In fact I would say in my opinion rattle snake wasn't a pimple on shakers butt as far as being a hard-nosed coondog. The two out of that cross that were my favorites were Bud and Spooner.. jmo.. we made that cross 3 times... As far as the wipeouts go. I agree.. they are the track dogs of today's Walker dogs
