No, He hasnt been collected as of yet. He has been bred only 1 time to a Brush creek x Hammer female. Had 4 pups , 2 really nice ones that cannot be bought the other 2 hasnt been hunted. The male out of this cross I have hunted with many nights , hard hunting ,nice mouth, runs a track good very nice treedog. The female thats been hunted , I havent hunted with but the man that owns her has sent me several videos . and talked with Me on the phone and really likes her. Both dogs are hard hunters that can run a track and will stay hooked. There are a couple more females that are to be bred to Gus. IF you are interested in breeding I will try to work something out. Would like to get one of those top females of yours bred to him.

Echo getting bred this week to white river Buster. Irene will be bred to Rebel semen in November. Waiting on Flo to come in heat. I plan on breeding her to Botox. Next year is sure a possibility on Gus.

Gus

I've hunted with Gus over the years, and if I had a blue female I was going to breed I would breed her to Gus. Warnie would have definitely liked him that's for sure. In fact I think he would have tried to talk you out of him Mike.

You just might be right , I think Warnie would have liked ole Gus. But talking me out of him might be pretty tuff as I think pretty highly of him myself. He's not the best but He's the best I've got!!!!!!!

Wayne Crabtree and I went for a hunt last night , took oie Slugger Wayne had his redtick he had just bought . They struck in a nice sized cornfield crossed out of the corn and up on to the ridge. Of course they treed near the top of the long steep hill. By the time we got to the dogs they were burning up. So were we. Wayne saw the coon. Called it quits and went home.

Gnit,Ch Gus

Fellows I am die hard English man but from what I have seen out of Gus if I hunted the Bluetick breed I sure would be giving him a look when you breed that next good Bluetick female. Mike I have been talking to some of the bluetick hunters around here that seem to be considering Gus in there breeding program . They asked me if you were going to Performance sire him and superstake him in the near future ? I told them you had mentioned Performance sire program but they would need to talk to you about if you were superstaking him. Hope to see you soon .Scott

Scott

Gus will be a performance sire in 2018 , dont know if I will super stakes him or not yet. Had a few phone calls for pups this week, will be breeding a female this weekend. Thanks for passing the word on Ole Gus. With the blood this dog has running through his veins I think he deserves a chance in the stud pen.

Any pups out of Gus for sale ?

Posted by Mike_Blevins on 09-05-2017 09:21 PM:

cethridge

No pups for sale as of now, but have my Lou female has been bred to Gus. If she caught 5 pups have been spoken for, will have to wait and see how many she has. There may be a nice Utchman bred female coming to pay Gus a visit soon.

Thanks for the interest in breeding your good female to ole Gus as I know the female plays a very big role in the natural ability of the pups as well . Just give me a call sometime and I will do my best to make it happen.

Mike we have a young female to replace Lou in house when Lou gets to old to go. She's out of Ranger/Lou. She's wired. Every Breath Tree dog and also pretty. Good Luck with Gus he's a Good One For Sure.

Gemma just turn two. This picture was taken last night.9/8/2017. Just went and fed her and there blood all over the kennel. Heat. Put a feist beside her in heat 2 weeks ago now she's in. LOL!

Gemma sure looks good on the timber, we need to get our ole buddy Herbie and go for another hunt up at Deer Creek some night. Think we could roll that ole outlaw outta Kentucky and bring Louie up for another hunt?
