A lot of people just look at the numbers on the bag. They see 30-20 and think it's better than a bag that says 28-18. Our hounds are athletes and an athlete needs a good protein and fat source too succeed and be the best they can. All protein and fat sources are not equal some are more easily digestible and have better absorption rates. That's why you can feed the same dogs the exact same amounts of different feeds and some will create more waste than others. A lot of times that 40lb bag of feed that is $10 more than that 50lb bag cost less or the same too feed. A lot of coo hunters are cheap. They will go and spend $40000 on s truck $1000 on a tracking system and $2500-$5000 on a dog and complain about the $1.00 or so a day it cost too feed a quality feed.
agreeeeeeeeeeed

Victor??

It's kind of ironic, just yesterday I stopped at Ace Hardware and was checking out Victor feed. Sure have a lot of choices, have pretty bags too, LOL. I have fed many brands over the years and have had fair success with most. I have never had an experience with female heat cycle problems with any. I have found that if you hunt your hounds hard there is little to no clean up from any feed. If you feed hi protein there is usually less clean up but you have to be careful if you don't hunt them regular. High protein is rough on their kidneys if not hunted regularly to burn it off. Go with a maintenance food if you're not hunting on a regular basis. Yes, there will be more clean up but it's easier on the kidneys. Just study the side affects from a high protein diet, yes it gives mussel tone but it may come with a price. Hard hunting gives the right kind of mussel tone. Like any other post, this is my findings over the years from experience and opinions may very.
