possum

We took a possum an put him inside a snapping turtle shell. Been breaking the dogs with it for a week. Possum's doing fine but the dogs have some chipped teeth.

Anybody got some diller scent we can put on the possum ??

I have plenty of snakes. But that armadillo scent sounds like a great idea. I could put it on the neighborhood cats. My dogs know better than to fool with a possum.

So now I have to teach my poor old dog to climb a fence too. She has been weak in her rear ever since the Erlichia. You have to help her up on a tailgate. Maybe I had better just stay home.

I imagine most of the fences are barb wire. It's the woven wire that stops a lot of dogs. I think you will be all right.

I remember in the 80's at ARCA in MO, I heard some of the hardest "tree" hounds I have ever heard. Problem was they couldn't get over a fence. But they didn't need a tracker to find them!!

Both but the ones down here don't have a problem getting through my young pups do fine but some northern dogs that are just hunted on crop ground where there are no fences occassionaly have a problem. Just giving a heads up. On the plus side no gators, porcupines, fishers and plenty of good hunting. Lots of big hardwood timber, some crop land, river bottoms pecan groves and lots of little creeks. Most of the fences are on private farms and have been crossed fenced off mostly barbwire but some woven wire or hog wire as we call it.

YOUR DOG WILL BE FINE BUT YOU MAY NEED TO PRACTICE NAVIGATIN A 5 STRAND VERY TIGHT BARB FENCE.

My brother-in-law hunts in shorts and tennis shoes. Most wear boots with chaps but more for the briars than worried about snakes.

so i should be fine with my Dan's heavy weight chaps? I don't have to deal with any kind of snakes here in Iowa and will buy snake chaps in a heartbeat if theres a risk of being bit lol.
