-- What is the Hottest Bluetick Stud Dog Currently? (http://forums.ukcdogs.com/showthread.php?threadid=928471694)
...
That being said if I had to try and answer the question at the top of the post I would have to say Piazon. I do not know if he is reproducing the kind of dog that suits your hunting style Mr Carroll but he is defiantly producing a good amount of dogs that tree coons. Everyone may not like them but I have hunted with a lot guys that are proud to have thiers. If you travel around and go to enough night hunts above the mason dixon you will more than likely run into/draw some nice dogs sired by Piazon. Piazon is getting old and as far as I know no longer doing any live breedings but if you want to take your female to something that is proven I would give Mike a call.
I never got to hunt with Piazon but heard he was a nice hound.
Anyone that has information on the Bama dog, please post what you know about him, his pedigree, etc.

John Carroll I own the bama dog. I raised him from a pup. Still to this day best sub 1 year old I ever hunted with. He was put in a couple hunts when he was young. Won a couple in pkc and ukc. I got it put to me pretty good when he was about 15 months old at a added hunt. I kind of got a bad taste in my mouth for the whole competition thing. He is a wide hunting dog. Good mouth nothing out of this world but good. Accurate and honest. I never have been a huge breed loyalty guy but he suited me. He's out of mackie creek bo jack and wild n blue sissy. The Allie dog that won the grand American final four there is out of my female. Also another dog that should have been put in the hunts. Thx for the interest.

Grand National Bluetick reunion Queen of hunt, twice.
High scoring Bluetick of the Youth Nationals, 3 times.
High scoring Bluetick of the 2015 Grand American.
High scoreing Bluetick male of the 2017 Grand American.
Numerous top placements at Bluetick days events (young guns, 1st place registered etc.) as well as State hunts.
Sired 2 of the 10? Blueticks in the top 100 of the 2016 world hunt.
Netted his owner a $500 check from PKC for his SS pups having the most earnings for the only full year he was ever Super Staked.
Showed up on almost all of the Performance points won by offspring monthly reports for the last 3 years.
Exited the current reproducers list due to age as #1.
Now if there was a blue stud like that, would people take notice and consider him a top reproducer based on his own offspring's merits? Or would he first have to have the "preffered" blood line of each individual Blueticker before they would personally take notice?

None of those 3 females would happen to live in the south?
I have been happy with mine off of him. My son (16 years old)had a goal last year to finish her in the top 16 in the PKC breed standings. We fell a little short and finished 21. This year he guarantees to make top 16 breed and set a goal for top 16 in the state. Watch for her Mike she goes by Jade.

I have a couple sisters off gauge that I like a lot. Pretty nice females but they also come from a really nice female. I have a young dog off bocephus that has a huge mouth and a lot of hunt to her. Head full of sense also.
I also own Grnitech Grch Nolan Creek Prides Maverick HTX3. He is all coondog. He doesn't have a ton of pups on the ground but has multiple nitech and a couple Grnitech I believe. He is half brother to Bocephus. Off bodacious and a nitech double bred smokey river bred female. I would love to get more of his pups in the hands of hard hunters so I could really get him noticed. I think he is an exceptional dog.
I think the dogs that are considered the the dog to breed to right now are probably Gauge, Bocephus, and Boomer. All very nice dogs

I have Orion, out of Piazon and Sky. I am VERY happy with him. Great mouth, cold nose, first strike hound. Locate that anyone can call. He is quiet in pen and can hunt him with ANYTHING. Did I mention that I like him and PIAZON is the man. Also have a 4 mouth old female out of Orion and littermate to Rip Tide that I am thinking of selling. All shots, tight built, Great mouth, treeing on drag. Awesome pup. If any in the south wants to breed their nice female to a little Piazon blood or interested in the pup, let me know. Charlie 843-372-8283.
I have a female off Piazon that I would part with. to my knowledge she is from the last live breeding to Pia. 11 months old I have not messed with her $350

There was a conversation at a hunt the other night along these lines, You ask someone who hunts blueticks, redbones or any breed other than walkers why they hunt them and you get the same answer...... I want to be different. The answer is never that they want a harder hunting, louder, more accurate, independent hound. I'd imagine only a few people in the bluetick click breed for these traits. I have hunted with three GOOD blueticks in the last 10 yrs. I would have owned any one of them.
Btt
How were the 3 bred?

Honestly not sure I know one went back to chief, another was spike way back, no clue on the other and he was a very dominant style of dog But I heard he wasn't very consistant. I drew him twice treed coons behind dog left and right of them good mouth hunted the woods good and was fast about it. I think the one out of chief got too ruff and the other got run over. That being said if I was going to hunt a blutick and compete I would go to Duane swaford, everybody doesn't matter what breed they hunt has told me he keeps a top hound.
Piazon
Bred Sally to piazon because of his independence and hard goin. Artificial Ai her. Only had two pups. Sally again and a male. We are hunting the Sally again female and the male can't be bought. If you are like looking for a dead loaner get you one out of pia and a female that likes to be alone. Promise u he will do his part.
