Man

When it rains in pours just as I'm getting to the end of Buster 's Ehrlichia treatments I find out my other dog crank has it. That's 4 for me from different places in about a year test positive. Haven't seen a tick on a dog at my place in years

I had a dog which had it as well Bob. The thing that sucks is they have that crap for life, & more often than not, it will rear its ugly head again. Lots of folks talk of having to treat with Doxy again every late spring. My dog that had the stuff would have a flare up around Mid April/early May time frame. Hopefully this was caught in the early stage for your dogs.

Hang in there! I hope both hounds come through with flying colors & are back to treeing coon for you!

Best wishes to you & your hounds in 2017!

Today is 21 days but I'm going to give doxy for 30 He's fat ready to go but our next few nights are in the teens. I'm not that tuff anymore. I told Tommy I would sit in truck if he wanted to brave the cold.

You may need to tie a couple feet of log chain to Busters collar to slow him down.

Treed one last night and seems to be getting over his Ehrlichia. He wasn't back to normal but much better than last hunt. Going to put some hard hunting on him and see what happens.

I sure will. We've sent blood to idexx labs a leader in tick diseases to be sure he has no other blood or tick diseases. This is my fourth dog in about a year with Ehrlichia all from different states.

Buster is,a nice Hound. Out of one of Richard edingers female an Mike hurts pink Floyd dog. Richard's females, produce early starting pups that are track an tree dogs. An very accurate. Richard has worked hard at making his line better an better. Should be nice pups.

Buster

White blood cell count

What was his count for it to be high bob. Just curious as to what your vet considers high. I have a sick on here I been working with as well

Posted by blue blue on 02-03-2017 09:03 PM:

Heck

He told me what normal was and Buster 's was way high it wasn't just up a little but I forgot the numbers. He even wanted me to look at them through microscope. Sorry I forgot numbers.

hows BUSTER doing haven't seen a resent up date ... I took ole KASH out a couple times he looked pretty dang good for being laid up for 6 weeks...

Posted by blue blue on 02-12-2017 02:49 PM:

Bobby

Buster hasn't looked very good last couple of hunts He's on stong antibiotics to bring white count down don't know if that could be affecting him. I take him back Tuesday but this process is really getting expensive and disheartening.
