Things don't always go as planned but you never know. All of the crosses have line breeding in them.

Banjo x Creek will be line bred on Unstable Mable

Mr. Blue x Creek would be an Uncle Niece cross

Tramp II x Creek would be a lot of Smokey River with a fair amount of Sexton's Jimmy in the background.

Scott, those are some great looking crosses. Hope you get to make all 3 and I bet there will be good ones from each cross. Hope you and Creek are treeing a few. It's Hot down here and a lot of the middle of the Country as well. If it don't rain in the evenings and cool it down a bit it's not hard for me to find an excuse to let them rest another night. Hope all is well, Take Care.

Thanks Steve, I appreciate the kind words. It has been hot and humid here too. It seems when we get the rain it gets even more steamy.
The litters are what I would like to do as time progresses. I have not had a litter here for a year and a half up to the one born last week out of Shadow and Hammerhead. There are never enough to go around.

Getting better

Scott just letting you know Stan is doing better and getting his strength back.It is hot here but still hunting 3 or 4 nights not hard but just a drop or two.Hope to see you at the Fall Round Up.take care and may God bless your family and blue dogs. Mack

Thank you for the update on Stan and hope he continues to progress. Glad to hear you are getting in the woods regardless of the heat. We have had a pretty warm Summer up here also. Good Lord willing I will be at the Fall Roundup and hope to see you there also. Take Care and Happy and safe hunting.

Nice to hear from you Steve. Its been a warm summer and we have been getting out some. I have been blessed with some nice females here and hope to get some pups out of Creek and Banjo next time she comes in heat if it works out.

The pups are doing great. They start to leave tomorrow. There will be a nice one going to Mississippi. I have been pretty picky about who gets them so I may end up with a couple left here but that's ok. Really nice litter and I believe that the Shadow and Hammerhead cross will be something special.

Thanks Mr. Jack, they are both nice dogs and hope to get one of them ready to roll for the Fall Roundup. I am hauling three other dogs down there with me so one may have to ride in the cab with me.

Hunt

Had a nice pleasure hunt with Tramp II and Creek last night. We have hunted Creek alone the last couple of years during the kill season but now she has to share the love with Tramp. They did a real nice job last night so we gave them some fur. I have not shot one down to Creek since last kill season but it does not seem to effect her at all in her hunting or treeing. She is just a real pleasure to have around. Now Tramp has joined the family and him and Creek really do a nice job together. Creek is quick to get hooked and Tramp seems to be really accurate. Both will get their share of strikes on each other so it is competitive from the start when both are cut together and has been that way since I hunted Creek with Tramp and Mr. Jack a few years ago down at the Fall Roundup. Never thought I would ever be fortunate enough to have two nice dogs like that at the same time but I have been blessed.

Sounds like you are really enjoying those two nice hounds! That's what it's all about and hoping those two and their offspring bring you many years of great hunting Scott. I've had the pleasure of hunting with both, Creek & Tramp in competition and their top hounds. Scott, when it gets to zero and the snow is blowing, trip down to Kansas for a hunt.

Creek and Tramp

Mr. Jack, you were sure right about the more I hunt Tramp the better he will get. I am really in awe about some of the tracks he has been able to work and get a coon in the tree. I am really enjoying him and his mouth really makes us smile.

Steve, I could not be happier with these two dogs. For the last 3 years I had just been hunting Creek during the kill season and my youngest son always said lets just hunt Creek and not take any other dogs along because she always did so well by herself. Well this year Tramp has been part of it and my son has really taken a liking to him and his ability.

Gary, Thanks for the comment. Hope things are going well. Next year I believe the Roundup is going to be in Tennessee so maybe I will see you there. My plan is to breed Tramp II to Creek. Not sure if it will be when she comes in next or in the Spring. I have had a lot of interest in this cross. Lots of Sexton's Jimmy and JBS Cheif's sister in this cross.
