To be honest, I've seen a bunch of different ways that people use them and they all consistently work. I change the sound by moving my fingers on the end of the squaller. Sometimes I flutter my tongue but it's not a must. A lot of air then less air going thru the squaller while moving your fingers is what I think is the best way. In all the videos I have, none of them have the same technique but they all work.
