I would guess hinge, I have never had one. I was going to order it and have it shipped to his address.

Thanks, they are still considering it because of his health. And I do agree about the older hound but it would need to be as close 100% accurate as possible.
I still need some smalls like a coonhide and Squaler, and to be said they will be donated. Thanks slobber slinger for your recommendations and all for their support.

hey jacob ive been following post and its an admirable goal your trying to accomplish. just an idea, take it or leave it but i guarantee theres a ton houndsmen on here that would donate the required hunting gear in a heart beat to your friend.

sounds like the family has a lot going on and taking care of a dog full time might be a issue. as many members as there is on this site im almost guaranteeing you can find someone close by with finished dogs to take your buddy hunting and maybe make it more than one time deal. finding a real deal finished dog is going to be near impossible and having the dog handle the same with new to hound hunting owners gonna be double tough.

mike fleming put out a pretty nice offer that could make a hunt to remember!!! hope you check into his offer and post an address for gear donations. if so i will send the caplite tomorrow.

keep us posted and happy hunting, matt.

Hey guys, at this time the family has decided that because of Fords health that another pet would not be best right now but hope in the near future that it will be possible. Please keep him in your prayers and thoughts. I will keep you all posted. Hope everyone's Hunting goes great !

Dream Dog

Hey guys how is everyones hunting going ? I took Winchester out Friday and he did great with handling, and was decent with hunting but he hasn't seen but two coon one being a hang up but when I did I had to put electric fence to keep him in his pen and not out hunting. I really need to catch another one to get him back fired up ! I have asked to see if Ford is doing better but still haven't heard back from his dad. Again please keep in him in your prayers and thoughts.
