that yeast infection can be a big expensive issue my wifes shitzu has had it in 1 ear all summer and still ain't got it cured change vets the new vet has got it where it comes back in a moth or so even if you keep her ears clean probly have spent a 1000 bucks on it will also get it on thier skin from digging thier ears then lickin thier feet

I doubt if she would be treeing hard for very long if she has an ear infection. Your previous post about starting her back over with drags and also her treeing hard on possums which are normally low and/or by sight sounds like the problem. If a young dog has too much disposers to sight treeing it can make it harder to get them to tree right by scent only.
I had a female given to me once that did the same thing that you are saying your gyp is doing. However she would bark a very little bit by herself when I got within 40 yards or so from the tree. I would keep going to her when she would bark, stop and turn my light out when she shut up, start to her again when she barked, stop again and shut light out when she shut up, and repeat process until I got to the tree. A few times of that and she barked treed like she was suppose too. Took some patience but it worked.

Dang. Id get em clean and put a couple drops of ivomec in there. Thats just me though. Then if that didnt work Id be getting rid of the little shitzu

Thanks for all the responses. I will let you all know what I find out from the vet or whatever fixes my female. I have seen enough out of her to spend the time and/or money to try to fix the problem.
