Mr. Charlie Ethridge has bought Ozzie. I had grand plans to jump back into coon hunting and as life has a way of doing I'm not able to right now. I didn't want Ozzie to suffer the consequences and Mr. Charlie was looking for a good young prospect. I'm glad we could work out a deal.

Robert Wethington from NC messaged me yesterday and he put a 1st on his Sarah female. She's out of Brummy and Judy.

Roho Carlise has Brummy hunting him right now, he lives about 30 miles from me so if anybody is interested in breeding a female I can run to Roho's and get him on short notice. He's still in great health and still getting big litters.

Blue Iron Ozzie is a natural COONDOG. He ran loose on K. Oswalt's farm until he had to be chained. He started treeing at 5 months old-on his own-and would stay until pulled. He is a young hound with lots of go. Totally non aggressive. HE will TREE his OWN coon and STAY until you get there. He can work a track in deep water and finish it. He is a young balanced hound that will finish into something special.

Glad you're liking him Charlie. I really hate that I needed to sell him. Sometimes other things in life are more important than coon hunting.

I hunted Whip night before last for the first time in several months.. He went 1 for 3 with a pine and a den tree.

First drop he went in he was treed about 250 yards in less than 3 minutes. He JAMMED the tree and had the meat. I recast him and he went about 750 to get treed on the Pine. I thought I saw him look but couldnt ever make him look again if he did.

We went to some public land after that and I cast him down the creek. It was Freezing cold and getting colder. I picked him up and hour and a half later almost 2 miles treed down the creek and it was a den.

Dont know what got into him, but he sure did look alot like his old self for one night.

I've got a nice female here off of Tucker's Blue Boomer x GrNtCh Maple River Blue Lady..She's got 2 wins to NtCh and a Cast Win at Autumn Oaks in only 5 Hunts. She's a big hunting female with a male dog mouth and has a locate that will send chills up your spine. If there were enough intrest in pups, I may bring her to see ol Brummy for one last Shot...

Curt I know we've talked in the past about it. Brummy is a real big hunting dog. To date he's never been bred to anything that had as much GO as he does. I'd love to get her bred to him, something with that extra gear.

I don't think there was ever a Boomer female bred to Besides Joleen and we caught her late in the cycle so she didn't catch...

She was bred to Whip and produced Evil that placed at Oaks last year. I guess a half sister to her crossed on Whip's sire should produce similar results?

The one thing in my experience with boomer grand pups and pups is that they are very tree minded. It passed on when I bred Joleen to Whip. I'd say it'd pass on in Brummy pups too.

Brummy passed away this afternoon. He lived a good long life and brought a mighty lot of joy and memories to a bunch of folks. Rest In Peace Brummy. Thanks for it all.

Thanks to Roho Carlisle for hunting him the last couple of years after I got out of it.
