I used to have a 2010 tacoma and it didn't get any better then the tundra either, and the crew max is nice as far as room. It has as much room in the back as the front.

Yeah dads got a 2012 1500 chevy crew cab that the whole family rides in now, but before that we always had to ride in that taco. With 5 of us it didnt take very long before you were ready to get out.

You know im on the road quite a bit with my half ton trucks. I have had Dodges, Chevys, small Yotas, Rangers, Colorados, ect...and currently a 2011 Ford. All good trucks and all had little maintenance. I can say though that I can drive my current Ford for 8 straight hours get out and talk to customers with ease OR more important GO HUNTING. It is one comfortable ride. Big room all the way around. I still have a single short bed 97 Chevy with 240,000 and it gets in those tight spots when I need it. I wouldn't be afraid to drive it to ARK.... Good Luck, get your wallet out new trucks aren't cheap

I've been pricing them and your so right. They ain't bashful about their price tag. Probably will look for something about 2 years old.

I do body work for a living and I would prefer Ram or a GMC do to how there built. Rams are cheaper and are built like tanks but my number one pick would be GMC. The sad thing is I started my job a Ford man.

Toyota makes a good truck too, but they have a lot of features that require taking them to the dealership. A few models don't have a dipstick for checking the transmission fluid. They are still nice trucks.

I just purchased a ford focus for my daughter who is in college, and there wasn't a dipstick for the transmission on it either. I was stunned.

They were still for them though "A Ford TV ad slams competitors for accepting bailout funds, even though the company’s CEO lobbied for the bill." That makes them no better lol.

I hope they all don't start going to stuff like that, its just a reason to get the consumer into the dealership shops to spend more money I think. The Toyotas have a plug that works like the fill plug on a differential. The focus may be different though.

i worked in auto and light truck repair shop for over 13 years. seen the best and worst of every brand. we did bumper to bumper repair from oil change to major overhaul.

everyone wants to get emotional and romantic about USA made versus not. wish everyone could get under all the trucks, under the dash, in the engine compartment and read the part tags where the parts are made. you cant believe but most the parts of the big 3 are not made here on anything relatively new.

my favorite 2 trucks were 71 ford 3/4 ton 2wd with 390 and c6 tranny and 93 chevy heavy 1/2 ton 4wd with 14 bolt rear end and new venture cast iron 5 speed tranny. still have chevy with well over 350,000 miles.

after having a tundra and tacoma though i will never go back unless major changes happen to the big 3.

on average the silly, costly, continous problems that have with big 3 dont occur with toyotas.

plus hunting wise i wouldnt trade 04 tacoma 4 door for anything.

It don't have a dip stick for the transmission on it is because its a whole new transmission that works different somehow from what was explained to me.It don't have any fluid in the transmission don't need it so why would it have a dip stick? And don't ask me why they designed it that way.I just drive Fords and buy them I would walk before I drove any General Motors,Dodge or jap crap
