So are you saying? if you had 3 dogs treed and a dog came walking into cast after other dogs were treed and made no attempt to go hunting. you would start the non hunting 15min. rule and when you got to the dogs treed and handled you would keep them from shining the tree until the dog went hunting or the 15min. got the non hunting dog?

Even if the judge puts the stationary on him all he has to do is in the last seconds is tree his dog to stop it simple as that !

If you would have quoted my entire post I think you would not be able to take it out of context. To answer your question ,No. What I'm saying is your strategy doesn't make since unless you are just after the judge or his dog. Let me ask you a question. Would you also have a member of the cast scratched for " delay of cast/ unsportsmanlike conduct" if they stopped for 1-2 minutes to tie their boot laces or find something they dropped?

Yes I would if they intentionally unlaced there boot or dropped something intentionally so they could delay the cast to tie there laces or go find what they dropped intentionally.

No if the laces came undone accidently or he dropped something accidently then it would not be intentionally delaying.

It is interesting that you delay the cast for the sake of making a ruling, not avoid a ruling on the stationary tree. But you wouldn't do the same for the non hunting dog for the sake of making a ruling and not avoid a ruling. in either case you can't keep the time running as once the 5 minutes are up you are then in the process of shining that tree as long as those dogs are treed. The process is to get to that tree as soon as possible after the 5 tie up dogs and then shine tree.

Ok I will explain one of my deacon dogs last wins: we cut 3 dog cast outher dogs strike of leash they strike them mine strikes left handed they start time he trails right by them times up trees slick so slick you can't circle it but they use the whole shine time I hear him tree they go to pull off I tree him leash lock them we go to him he's got the coon this happens two more times just that way they finally give up I tree one buy my self in the other kc there's no leash lock it gives the other guys a to pull of and get a piece of the pie that they don't deserve so if the judge don't know your dog how would he be right in putting the stationary on you ? Creek banks, briars, down timber all these things can make a dog sound treed there aren't many people that know there dog that are going to pass up a split tree situation If my dog is split I am going figure there's a reason he don't want to be with them anyways in any game there's a strategy jmo!

Berger, that's what I thought you'd say. Lol. Just to be clear, I said I wouldn't know how I would handle the situation. I'm still learning. Looks like I have a ways to go. Thanks for the conversation. Even if we don't agree I'll still gain from your W isdom.

Merlin,
You're from Iowa, I don't trust anything you say.

I wouldn't trust Merlin either to know the rules.
