I'm gonna do my best to make it. I m not fond of any snake of any kind. Went to Hope Ar. Back in the 90s and John Vandebecks Force dog was grabbed by a alligator and stuffed under some logs. He did get his collars back.
So anything could happen at any event.

I hunt with alligators and snakes every night of the year.... Your hound is WAY WAY more likely to get killed on a highway than have any problem with the reptiles.
In my opinion, it is safer to cut in a huge timbered area w some swamps in the South with only hunting trails (even with a few reptiles) , than places that are heavily roaded ( like the ones roaded by section grid)...
Especially when hunting 4 high powered "competition" dogs... they just aren't usually going to stay together and usually scatter all over the country.
I have hunted down here for almost 30 years... and I hunt in the summer... The ONLY dogs I've ever had killed were a couple by cars/trucks, and one of those was partially my fault because I stupidly cut in a place I thought was "safer" than a swamp....
The Guys up north have to deal w/ mountain Lions and wolves... There are some sort of dangers in all places.........
