Well here is my thought

I could not make the trip this year my loss for sure. So here is my thought as people try to make it easy to pay their dues it gets real complicated dues are due on a certain date pay buy that date or you are late period. If dues are due by 12/31 and U do not pay by then sorry U are late pay later and get re instated .............simple huh.............. no you don't get points you don't get nothin U are not a member you are not paid up pay up move on. Man what is so hard about that. Yep I am paid up.

Ray, thanks for the explanation. It sounds like when the membership ends, the dues are payable. That happens on the same day, as it always has. The only thing thats changed is the date this happens has shifted from 3/31 to 12/31. As a member, it really doesn't make much difference to me what that date is and I believe most members would readily vote to change the date, if asked.

As far as the administrative side, I'd say you need to do what you need to do to handle membership status and mailing labels for the yearbooks. It seems like the Assoc. has always done a very good job on that. Thank you and keep up the good work.

Whether the year ends 3/31 or 12/31 the concern and question that I had is that the date the annual membership
is due is article III section B and that section C states that
any member who becomes delinquent in dues will be dropped from the membership role. An article XI states this constitution may be amended at any regular meeting by a 2/3's majority vote of the members present in favor of said amendment (with the exception of article IX) or the Constitution of the American Black & Tan Coonhound Association.

In other words in my opinion the Executive Board did not have the powers to change the date without a 2/3's majority vote at the General membership meeting because it is changing the articles of the constitution.
I'm very sorry I missed Black and Tan Days this year I had to have a total knee replacement surgery done and look forward to being at Black & Tan Days in Flora next year.
The letter of bullying sent to me by the Executive Board by the ABTCHA will not stop me from being a devoted Black and Tan follower.

Did the general membership get to vote on changing the constitution or did the board make their decision on changing the constitution ?

The constitution is still written the same that hasn't changed. It just said when they were payable nothing more then that, it didn't say when they end. So the board made a decision to put a end date of December 31st and an active and inactive status of the due date of March 31st. I would Guess That The Members that didn't make it to BNT Days are Starting to Enjoy There 2015 Year Books already by This Decision By The Board. So by reading the constitution and way the board interprets this line there was no reason to change the constitution. You would have had to be at the meeting when the proposal was made to change it from January 1st to March 31st to know. Then again the speaker system wasn't that good and half of it you couldn't hear or barely hear it but at the end they made the proposal sound real good. Immediately followed by a vote. So you had to be intelligent enough in a split moment to process what was proposed. It sounded like a headache, didn't make any sense and I didn't vote for it. Then again you look around when the X Bred was voted on this year and people had 8 months to know what it was about and you realized people still had no clue what X bred program is.

Yep, literally no clue at all. Seemed like the Q&A was cut short too, along with the website.

Slowpoke I agree on the Q&A though in all due respect I was told they were trying to speed it up and keep discussion to a minimum.

AS they were expecting a proposal and long discussion on the website. Now I don't know why they thought that as they had already said it was closing on 4/24/15. They could only pay to keep it running a year at a time. They had made there decision what was best for the Assoc. and ALL of the members as a whole. Only 1 to 3 members used the board a week and was not being used. Then all of a sudden just before BNT days the website was going to stay running for another 3 months with out explanation which was not possible earlier. So why was that done? Was it to see if there was a proposal at BNT days general membership meeting or was it to make the members think that there would be a discussion and a vote to keep it running or close it up at the meeting. For what ever reason at least it worked and there was no discussion and no vote by the members and the board's decision stands to close it.

Observation there was a post put on there 25 hrs. ago and had 25 views in 25hrs. average 1 an hr./ By the numbers of 3 people a week it should have taken 8 weeks to come up to 24 users viewing.

Another observation have you noticed the scholarship program info has been added to the Assoc. FB. Now it has been added to UKC sticky at the top of this page also. WHY if a website is not needed?

I learned a bit of a lesson at that meeting. Next time I have a concern and it gets skipped over, I'm going to just stand up and make a motion too...
