Like the other guys i keep my hair long in the winter and usually don't have a problem with a cold head. A cold breeze down my neck or back is a different story. I usually flip my hood over my bump cap. Or pull my neck warmer higher. But I can't stand not being able to hear 100%. I googled 'hard hat liners' and theres a dozen different styles i might give one a try if i come across it.

you can get thin warm face mask from atv dealer they use them under their helmets for riding in the winter

I have a lil be any I wear under mine,but most nights I have a jacket or hoody and pull the hood over my bump cap.keeps my head warm and can still hear good.
