I would like for you to consider reading the Frosted Train thread on here. He is registered in all the registries, he has semen stored at several places. The litter he is out of are all titled dogs. I have a young dog out of his litter mate sister Frosted Tea and Bone Collector that I REALLY like. I am sure you will make a good decision.

What did i tell you James its in the Blood Insane Frosted Train is the Insane Cain bloodline.

Can't go wrong here man what ever your female is missing this bloodline will add to it.imo.

....I think Frankie would work well on her.Darlin is typically a fast action female so were her brothers but the males had more gear than the females in their litter, all had real good mouths. Darlin will trail some and she is balanced but... A 30 SECOND COON JUST YARDS FROM THE TRUCK IS HER FAVORITE....Darlins only pup is doing great but his sire was a somewhat slower dog, very balanced but was not,the type of dog that would leave like a poor man late for work. I want to cross her with the same style dog she is...Fast Action,One Bark Tree Dog ,Big Mouth Medium Nose,Deep Hunter...Joe Zinn If you want to raise a litter from her and Frankie, or something closer to us...We need a driver and a couple guys that want in....I appreciate all the post guys, Thanks JBG

JAMES IF YOU ARE LOOKING TO BREED TO A LAY UP DOG THAT CAN TREE ANY KIND OF COON JUST GO CROSS THE RIVER TO ROBIN SANDERS AND BREED TO FRED IF YOU WANT COON TREEING HOUNDS. THEY ARE SOME REALLY NICE PUPS ON THE GROUND OFF OF HIM.

Doug I did not know Lexington would do that.Darlin is almost7/8 yrs old and I have been advised due to her age and the fact she only had 1 pup her first go round I would be best to live breed her, I wanted to put her on 2 big mouth male dogs that were similar to her breeding and also her huntin style and have a split litter so I would,nt have to bother about breeding her if she cycles again.I am sure Smitty and Robin have a good one in Fred...I considered a Lipper dog if I made an outcross.

So what you going to breed to James you got all these recommendations and just never did say which way you were going.

Your female may be all ready bred you said about any time a month ago so just like to know the dog you chose.

Some info here because you asked Mr.Fox... Darlin started bleeding on Sat Feb 6th and a female from Ragin Bo started bleeding the next day Sunday Feb 7th...I made about 30 plus phone calls to talk dogs.I had already talked to about a dozen guys last year also....Some local guys did offer to breed for a pup and some did not.I presented the same offer to everyone that I talked with other than D. Compton ..HAD I CHOOSE AN OUTCROSS..BONE COLLECTOR IS WHERE I WOULD HAVE TAKEN HER..D Compton has put his stud dog out there as I would have done...I felt his asking stud fee was justified but as we all know The 3 days I needed to breed these bitches we all had bad weather...I TRIED MY BEST TO PUT HER ON A COMA SIRE BUT IT WASN,T TO BE...I don't know about anyone else but I ask the Lord everyday to help me in ...ALL MY DECISIONS EVERYDAY..Wakin up on Darlins 10th day gave me my answer in reference as not where to go in such conditions..My yard was covered in ICE and all of 40 West was the same way.I did offer only one gentleman both females if he wanted to breed both but MY EMPHASIS WAS NOT ON THE YOUNG GYP BUT WITH DARLIN .. HER TIME IS RUNNIN OUT...Long story short,Some stud owners were very pollite and some thought I was crazy I guess. But I,m not about to drive 700, 300 miles and pay 300,500 $$$ to breed a dog that may or may not have pups and just so my bitch can help compliment your stud dog..I offered to do my part and even offered them 2 pups and of my 3 top studs not includeing D Compton and G,Nash the others were not interested in my bitch after I took the STUD $$$ out the conversation And that is O. K. It,s all good. There are some real good studs out there and I may be overthinking this some but raising/breeding dogs is a lot like raising children...SOMETIMES YOU DONT GET A CHANCE FOR A DO OVER IN LIFE...I STRIVE TO GET IT RIGHT THE FIRST TIME......Alot of folks place a great deal of importance on the female, I don't know which has the greater influence...., But I know you need to start with 2 of the best that you can find.I have done this for 45 years and...I OFFERED THE BEST FEMALE I HAVE EVER HAD, and some evidently thought mine wasn,t good enuff...Someone once said..IT AINT BRAGGIN IF YOU CAN BACK IT UP..NEXT MONTH GONNA TELL THE STORY....Darlin has never had a real chance, I will be out there givin my best with the best female I HAVE EVER OWNED..What about you Mr.Fox..YOU A FAN OR YOU A PLAYER...LIKE I TOLD ONE GENTLEMAN....YOUR MOVE....ITS ALL IN FUN..I will add an ..ALL GRAND PEDIGREE ACTUALLY TURNS ME AWAY...A DOGS HUNTIN STYLE INTEREST ME MORE THAN ALL GRAND...I DIDNOT BREED EITHER BITCH....

In fairness to everyone I talked with, there were some debates about pup programs and what was good for one in different parts of the country may have not taken off so well in other areas.I did request that a SIRE be in the PKC and CHKC programs and that I,m sure made it an easy decision for some stud owners not to entertain my offering a good female.I understand we all don't just have extra $$$ just laying around to spend on dogs.I had just broken my finger and was out of work and no paycheck comin in and also it was valintines week end and along with an ICE STORM ...I took my wifes advise.... and did not spend a dime on a dog .Sometimes I come across wrong with some folks ,but I just be havin fun alot on this computer ,Bone Collector is where I had convinced myself to go,My wife suggested I use one of the Bo pups, well I didn,t but I got a few months to watch them now.One other dog I think would help keep the traits I wanted was a a Lipper/Coma bred dog,Conrad your dog is bred very nice and I would like to hunt with your dog soon...Its all in fun..Your Move ...Mr.Fox

Well James i have not owned a dog in the last 18 months i gave my Insane Sam pup at that time to my daughter and we have been working with him this winter when weather permitted.

I do have a deposit down on a Swamp Music Pride and Ruby pup if Ruby comes through with pups this time at 10 years old a proven reproducer Hobo and i both have our fingers crossed.

I think there was nothing wrong with your decision for in six months probably be back in season again.

I have stated on here many times i believe its 60% in the females any way.

If it were all in the stud dogs with all the gr.nt.ch advertised studs the world would be full of champion dogs.

I got taught this lesson the hard way for 20 years ago a partner and i bred females to all the big magazine dogs and got nothing in return.
Now looking back on it we were breeding no account females that may tree a coon ever now and then.
James if you have had good look over the years why change anything personally i do not like out crossing.JMO.

James this has been fun reading these post. If men would take the time finding a wife, as you did in finding a stud dog would be less divorces. But remember this James, Adam listened to Eve and you see how that worked out for us men. Just Saying.. Lol Have a good time with your dogs.

Thanks for the post guys. Roy it took me 29 years to find a good woman,Problem may have been that until that period in my life I had not asked the LORD to send me one,The moment I asked for his guidance ,..WE FOUND EACH OTHER...BEST THING EVER HAPPENED TO ME..... It sure is a lot easier finding a good woman than a good coondog.Sometimes we think we know what is best for us and we don't ask the Good LORD for help...The past couple years.... I HAVE TRIED TO ASK FOR GUIDANCE IN ALL THINGS I DO...Darlin got us in a little trouble the first part of the hunt but I put her on the card with a gamble and some uncertainty and my handling skills or lack of, cost us the cast win..It is what it is and I had fun,We going back to town next week, who knows what may happen.....I DO PLAN TO BREED HER IF SHE CYCLES AGAIN.....Thanks guys...JBG....GOD IS GOOD...........ALL THE TIME
