Winter Classic

I want to know why , if our by-laws , say highest single cast score wins ,Queen or King of hunt . Why did they give double cast wins , the King & Queen of the Winter Classic ?Did the membership vote this new rule in , of double cast winners prevail over single cast high score . Is the winter classic done different? Seems like every other hunt double cast wins beat single night high score

Just read it. Kevin you are right. Probally honest mistake I would have thought it would have been handled that way also. I think new trophies should be bought an sent to winners if they are different an they should be listed as winner in the blue book for what my opinions worth. Maybe take this up on another thread.

Easy Kevin!!

I'm gone to a cattle show for a couple days with Brice & when I get back on here our Ex.V.P. is all 'riled' up over a hunt!!! Not sure when it got changed, but whenever UKC started to allow the same dog to be hunted both nights or BBOA just noticed this was the only major event wasn't being awarded with most cast wins, is when it got changed. I'm pretty sure it has been this way since Mark was Pres.. so it's been quit awhile. Will do some checking. Take care, Ron.

Guy I am Sure it was a honest mistake I always assumed it was a double cast win but then again I have never read the bylaws. So Who won the bluetick part of it and how can we make it right with out any bickering???

The only blame on the Winter Classic falls with me! I made the mistake. I will be checking with UKC and I will make it right with all involved.
I had meant to have it on the ballot as it was a problem in 2014 at Winter Classic and I just missed it but I thought it was covered. If the winners are any different I will discuss with other executive board members to allow more winners and award single High cast winners as well as two night cast winners until we can get by-laws updates to follow UKC format.
When I checked my notes it was not on the ballot and had not been changed.
It is totally and without a doubt MY FAULT and I am sorry to those involved.
The whole section is out dated and has to be redone. We are lucky that Autumn Oaks has not had a problem yet since grand nights can potentially hunt two different nights with same dog. Then we have a problem as to which night would count as a high score? The same is true for Grand American.
There are a few other sections that need cleaned up and updated so we will be sending out ballots again after Nationals.
Once again I am at fault and I will do my best to make sure this is fixed.
