Jim is a big dog. B III was a big dog. Larry, they are way too big for you.

Posted by ken johnson on 01-11-2015 04:35 PM:

Larry

I would estimate Jon's weight was around 65 lbs.. Brian Ratliff would know better than me.. But what I do know is jon was the best I ever been in the woods with, a fast dog on all ends, very talented dog.

larry

jim weighs 76 pounds . I don't know how much b3 did but I was told b3 was around 65 pounds . I got a full brother to jim off second cross he is 60 to 65 pounds. cat and penny a full litter mate to jim is around 55 pounds . the males seem to be a little bigger! the thing all have in common is drive ! they all hunt hard and at a faster pace then most just hunting or on a track quick. don't let jims size make you think slow because he is not!! but then again i,m partial to these dogs!! In my opinion these hounds need to be bred to more open trailing lines to bring out more strike power.

Body Style

I had BIII here at my house and own Mandy II off Banjo III. I would say she is long and leggy. I did not consider III to be a heavy dog, more of a long and leggy hound. I would say 65 pounds 70 tops. One thing I can tell you is they will get through the timber fast and if you were in a shoot out, these are the type of dogs that get hooked fast. They don't need anyone to hold there hand and you can expect them to get by themselves deep with the meat. I have got plenty of first strikes with my gyp but not because she is a stupid blabbermouth. And I have had a bunch of first trees. Last week in SC we pleasured hunted on Wed, night. After traveling 9 hours we cut her out and she was treed with the meat in 10 minutes at 600 yards. Wish we would have seen a coon in the two hunts I attended. And please don't tell me I need a better dog. The blue dog I hunted with on Sat. was in the final 4 last year. Lucas

B3 if I remember was 78 pounds and well over 80 if Ramon put a little weight on him. He kept him slimmed down for the most part. I have seen him around 90 when he was cooking up salmon skins from the sushi place for restaurant down the road lol.

That has been done Richard. I know of 5 pups that are around 6 months old now. You will be hearing about them down the road. Richard ask Brayden about the female out of this cross that I just sent up to his house.

Richard and bb ,I know of a nice nightech female directly off haze that's supposed to be bred to jim when she comes in heat. plus there a nice young female off rocky that will be bred to jim if she turns out also. so I guess we will see how the t-top - big jim cross will turn out in the near future ! the jim pups I have seen have had huge mouths!! I gotta get me one !!

Question??????

Did the President of team Fireball, Preston Owens send you your official membership hat ???Sounds like by the name it should be a good one...

Posted by Richard Lambert on 03-07-2015 05:49 PM:

Preston said that he was going to resign from Team Fireball and join the Va Cartel if Rex would let him have one of these pups.
