I would also add Bud Keller if he is still around. Last time I heard his health wasn't good so he may have passed before he got his deserved time in the spotlight.

Chad Nay

I believe Chad Nay should be the one to have his story told. I've seen and heard of the dogs that he breeds and trains. There winning at local, National and World levels. Great guy.

I elect......

MR. GAYLE FLOWERS & FIRE CREEK KENNELS
and Mr. Joe Nation of Kentucky.

These two gentlemen possess a wealth of knowledge and are very well respected. I feel they deserve a chance to represent the Breed in the English special issue of Coonhound Bloodlines. Thanks.

A few good ones that have been mentioned that started way back are some very good ones.

How about Ed Bates or Lee Wilder. A roundtable interview with Gayle Flowers, Lee Wilder and Joe Nation would be a very interesting read.

I agree

Rory add Sherwood Hackenburg aka Hacky and Vick Mcmillin to that list. Hacky is in tough shape as well. I hear he had a hunting accident and is selling his last hound and hunting items. I hope I got their names right.

I noticed that Todd said it could not be someone who has been featured in the last couple of years, so he may have been featured and I missed the article is why he has not been mentioned.

Rory Cowles has done what a lot of us only hope to do one day. Rory won a World Championship in 1992 and did it when english dogs just didn't win World Championships. He then won Reserve World Champion in 2011. He then won World Champion English in 2014 with a different dog and the accomplishments go on and on. I do think that Rory has earned the right to be in any discussion when we are talking about the english greats.

Chad nay

Chad nay and his rocky creek hounds! We've heard about most of these other hounds but I want to hear the story on his cross that reproduced the only idc world champion English female and all his stud dogs that's reproducing and that's in the blood of somme of these other hounds. He hunts hard and trains a lot of young hounds from what I've heard and seen,I never hear him brag on his hounds or get to hear his story. So chad nay gets my vote!!

Sam Dyer (Heavener, Oklahoma) I'd say he's done a lot for the English breed around here! Great man of God, and loves our sport and spends a lot of time cooking for our local clubs and communities as well.

John Kirby would be another young man that is super dedicated to the English breed. Great young man who promotes our breed to the highest!
