Pedigree

Correct me please if Im wrong, but isnt Woody out of Montana Mountain Red Ranger? Also, what is his mother and how is she bred? My old Rally dog was a full brother to Ranger. He was a very special hound.

The first litter of woody pups hit the ground over a week ago...all 11 are doing good. Doing my best to keep them all warm in this - 25 wind chill weather. Woody had a good year in 2014 and we are hoping for even better in 2015

Woody got deep and worked up a bad track and treed while I sat in the truck nearly 500 yards away...

Woody on the wood for the second time last night.
Woody also got Qualified at an RQE last saturday after a 7 hour drive to south eastern Kentucky

Nt.Ch. (w/3 wins) Ky Moonlight Trip was picked up yesterday and will be bred to Dual Grand Nite Ch. Ky Mooight Woody semen later this week at Nevergone. Trip is out of Gr.Nt.Ch. Rocky Top Jet x Gr.Nt.Ch. Ky Moonlight Breanna....one of the best crosses we have made in recent years. She finished out in big hunts. Was a 3 night cast winner at american redbone days last year and won two nights and won first place and high scoring dog on sat night at national redbone days last year to finish to Nt.Ch. and has picked up 3 Nt.Ch. wins and some PKC money since then. She is action packed, blazing fast and a harder tree dog you won't find anywhere. And Woody....well Woody is one of the biggest winning redbones of the last couple years.
I think I just found my next pup

Been checking up on some of the pups from the very first cross on Woody...the female was my Gr.Nt.Ch. Outlaw Billy Jean and the pups turned a year old on new years day. Have been able to hear from the guys who have 6 of them and 5 are doing very good and most have treed many coons to date ...by themselves. They are spread out pretty good...Iowa, Kentucky, Ohio, Indiana. Three are really starting to shine and have treed 30 to as many as 80 coons alone this fall and winter. I urge everyone to take it slow with them and dont over do it at that young age. Most say their pups are very mature acting and can take steady hunting but thats still pretty young to be pushing a pup more than 2-3 nights a week. If in doubt... Let em rest. Spring is just around the corner and they will be older and the coons will be plentiful and thats when you can push them a little harder. Good luck and thanks to everyone who is investing their time in one of these pups...I am greatful to each and every one of you!

This is great news. Crosses turning out like this keep the Redbone breed alive and well for many years to come.
