Here's an update.

Squall gave birth to five red pups on Tuesday, November 4th. The following morning, three of the pups had died and Squall seemed agitated, like she wasn't feeling well. I took her to the vet and found out she was running a high fever and had an infection in her milk glands. The vet put her on antibiotics and told me to bottle feed the remaining two pups until her fever broke. Her fever broke yesterday, but I couldn't save one of the puppies. The last pup, a male, is doing fine and Squall is taking good care of him now that her temperature is back to normal.

I hate that Squall wound up with only one pup as I had seven pups booked. I plan to keep the male being it's the only pup raised from this litter.

I am thinking I will breed her to Yogi again in the spring. Hopefully, we won't have an infection and have better success in raising a litter next time. I appreciate all the calls and apologize to everyone that was looking forward to getting a pup from this litter.

Sorry to hear about that. Ill take the same order in the spring.Next time get the vet to give you some antib. to give to her before dhe gas the pups I had to do that with a walker female same thing happened.

Here's a good testimonial for Milkade made by Happy Jack. I have used Milkade as a supplement for every litter I have had in the past and not had any kind of milk problems, but I failed to get a bottle and use it for this litter. That is a pretty good powder that I highly recommend, especially now.

Here's the sole survivor. Picture taken last night. Being he is the only one, he is getting plenty of groceries and getting fat. I think he will start to tick up in a few weeks.
