I was told that Elmo was bred to the female that is in this pedigree at a hunt you went to and Randy Singleton bred her to Elmo at a hunt. Her name was Kate II.

elmo must have been a pretty good powerhouse dog for Randy to consider him to add to his bloodline. He kept it pretty pure in line breeding before making an outcross.
that is the beauty of this hound and his pedigree. Line breed for 2 to 3 generations and then make an outcross on a great hound. Not just because it's an outcross because whatever that dog has to offer it is to help the breed you are trying to keep pure.

these boys absolutely did a masterful job of line breeding on some very powerful coontreeing coondogs. In that 5th and 6th gen and a couple before that are stacked up hall of famers.

Ya I got out of hunting for a few years and lost track of Elmo pups, was glad to see him in this ped, I will have to check out drifter soon

Same pedigree I posted above...Lorrie is the mommas name.

Direct daughter of Dual Gr. Finley River Boomer and her momma is direct off of Gr. ch. Nt. ch Blue River finley River Lonnie a multiple placer in the World hunt. High placing not in the top 100 I am talking about top 10 and top 20 twice.

She is also a grand daughter of Dual Gr. ch. Finley River Nite Hawk. I dont know if there are a handful of Hawk grand daughters even alive.

I predict there will be a major stud come out of this cross down the road within the next two years.

got some more info on Drifters pedigree

in the 6th generation where you see Nt. ch. Spring Creek Babe multiple times behind chainsaw's momma.....
She is direct off of Dual Gr. ch. Spring Creek Rock and a Kaw River Chief female.....Kaw River Chief was the sire of World Ch. Houses Tom Tom who produced Houses Clint which produced Houses Lipper......soooooo...The foundation stud behind Lipper is back there multiple times

So you can add Rock again and again beside the Radar cross that helped produce Sid....

See if you can count how many times Spring Creek Rock is in this pedigree now.....GOOD LUCK!!!!

I have some poor boys pups on the ground now born August 5th. I crossed her with a dog showing Lipper in 3rd generation. Sire was a hard hunter, hold pressure tree dog, had the Harry dog tree bark. Dam is out of McDowells Buzz dog. Sure think they will be good dogs, time will tell.

you notice she is a littermate sister to Drifter?
Good to know.

I think Rank and a shot of Dizzy cant be too bad. I read some good things on dizzy being a real nice hound as a young stud.

There should be a whole lot of tree power in this cross.

yea she is....same cross different litter

poor boys queenie is her mom. full sister to drifter. Would make a good pup to cross back on a drifter male or female. would be a niece/uncle cross or nephew aunt cross. I loves those. Most underated line bred cross. Drifter has some of those in his pedigree a few generations back.

a shot. He's good looking, he's smart, he's loud, he is bred off the chart, and he is a coon treeing motor scooter. I have heard he wiped out some casts on his way to grand night champion.
Independent and will stick. This is in his DNA. not a man made dog. If you are within a few miles of St. Joseph, Mo. I would call as soon as you gyp comes in. there arent any other dogs bred like this anywhere in the country. They may be bred well but this dog has been designed and bred to be the stud he is by professional dog men who know how to properly line up dogs in a pedigree to give you "THE" ultimate reproducer.

They line bred where they should line breed and outcrossed when it was time and when they did, they did it with a stud that was proven and still had some of the old rock blood back in the background.

You can bring the Rock Blood back into your kennel with one call.
