Emma

Is on day 35 and has all the signs of being with pups . She's getting fat laying around more not as spunky and appetite has been down. Gonna start her on vitamins today and up her feed a little. Still have my fingers crossed so just have to wait and see next week or so to know for sure. Hope she took there's a lot of old Uchtman blood pretty close here in this cross. A lot of ole Rebel / Sadie Mae cross not too far back along with Ranger V, Albert , Luke & Lou, and Hawk. Guys I'm not trying to push a pup on anyone. I'm just excited about wat might come out of this cross. Im n the mountains of WV where coon are kinda thin and have plenty ridges and hollers to stretch their legs if u know wat I mean and tracks r not always warm and it takes a little different hound to get the job done here and these hounds r getting it done fairly well. Hope to meet a few u guys at the Fall Roundup this yr. Plan on trying our luck both nights.

Hello George

I am going to try to get down to the Fall Roundup, if I do I hope to meet up with you. I sure wish I had room for a pup, I think this is a real nice cross, best of luck getting the litter on the ground.

George I also think this has the potential of being a real nice cross. Wish you the best with them. Dave

George,
Sounds like Emma took. Just keep me in mind for one of those furry little critters. Good luck with Sport.
I just got of the hospital, had my appendix taken out, man what an experience! Still got a ways to go before I get back into the woods. Stay in touch.

George

That's good news. I guess this litter will be the start of what Sport put's on the ground. I, myself, always give the female at minimum 50%. These good females are the backbone of the Bluetick breed, in my opinion. Do you have a close date when they will be born? Have a good day.

Ron

Pups

They're due around the 15th oct. I agree with u I truely believe the female has to do her part of at least 50%. I never was a fan of breeding a female if she wasn't capable of performing n the woods the way I like and being bred right but maybe that's y I don't make very many crosses. Lol

So they'll be ready to go somewhere around deer gun season. Never have bred a female that wasn't capable of her end of the deal. All the females I owned and bred, I hunted on a regular basis and most of the time they were my main dog. There should be a few good ones out of this litter. Next year about this time, we'll all know. Later, Ron

I also agree with you guys. The female contributes 50 percent to a litter. I am excited about this litter because I like both of these hounds. Emma is young but is coming along nicely. I have hunted Sport the last two nights. I am trying to get him ready for the fall round up. I hope to see you all there if all goes as planned.

Can't make it to the fall roundup but would love to go. Good luck with Sport, from what all I hear, he is more than capable of winning but we all know that is only a part of the game. Have a great day.

Congrats Gary and Sport

Good job guys, it's all down hill from here, keep it up.

George, close to having pups yet?

Posted by Gary Napier II on 10-19-2014 11:14 PM:

Sport has done a nice job over the last few months that I have hunted him. He is not mistake free but over my almost 30 years of hunting I have never hunted with one that was mistake free. George has discribed him correctly. Sport will give you 100 percent effort every time you turn him loose. I think this cross will be a good one. I like Emma as well. She is a nice young female that will tree her own coon.

Emma

Had 13 pups last night.
