Thanks. Been to a couple of hunts. Both were dead casts. Im not big on bench shows, but Woody has picked up a few show points. Hopefully coons will be moving better soon and conditions get better. Hot and Dry!!!!

We can try to get together this fall for a hunt. Woody is just a regular old hound. Ive had my share of culls of the past several years. I decided I could feed a decent one as good as I could a sorry one! So, I got rid of almost every thing I had and Worked with Seth to get two new pups bred the way I liked. Both Woody and Elli Mae where exactly what I was looking for, as far as breeding. I was real fortunate to get two pups that could tree their own coons by 6 months old. Woody and Elli are both about to be a year old, Elli on the 29th and Woody on Sept 2nd. I have treed more coons with these two the last 4 or 5 months than I ever have with anything I have hunted under a year old. I have loaded these two up for the past few months and hit the woods with no doubt I was going to tree some coons. Is Woody a wonder dog? No, but he has really impressed me for a pup his age. He is not a year old and I would hunt him against a Grand Nite Champion and feel good about my odds! He is already all around the best pup/hound I have had in my pen in many years, if not the best ever? It may take a while to finish him in the hunts because I cant hunt every weekend but I will try to get him to them when I can. Thanks to everyone for your comments on Woody.

split solo twice tonight with two in one tree and a single in the other. Looked at 6 coons. Not bad for 84 degrees at 11pm and horrible humidity! In 3 more days Woody will turn a year old. Other dog also split with two coons!

I myself cant wait to breed him. Its tough waiting, but I am going to enjoy hunting him for a while. I dont know how many hunts I will be available to make, but I plan on him being atleast Nite Champion before I breed him. I hope the female you are talking about is young enough to wait! Thanks.

Wow great pics keep em coming!! Glad you are enjoying Woody you need to move further North where it is cooler LOL! We were down to 39 other nite, several nites in the 40's and 50"s I actually had to put a sweatshirt on! Scott I sure do like his breeding and hunt!!! Take care friend!

You know how we are down here we wish it would cool off and after a while we wish it would warm up! LOL I think the cooler temps are close. Its dipping down to the mid 60's late. Take care.

Woody split solo twice last night. Last split just before hunt time ended. Coon looked one time but wouldn't look again. That's frustrating but that's the way it goes I guess. That would've been only coon scored.

I like how he is bred too. Tossing the pedigree out, I like everything about this pup. I may not hit enough hunts to finish him out but I'm gonna try. 13 months old. Independent, accurate and is yet to pull when split.
