Coon season is starting to come in around zone 6. So let me see some pics of them blue dogs standing on the tree.

Congrats to Curt Todd and Whip on their big cast win at AO.

yep you to eddie allways nice to put a face with a name that crocket sure is better looking in person looks like a hound should , would love to come long ways for me 17 hrs

oh I understand the drive buddy. hope to see you at the winter classic and catch up then. that Molly gyp sure was a pretty girl. wish we would have had a better hunt up north, but that's the breaks.

congrats Curt on a job well done

Picked up the trophies today for the upcoming BBOA South Carolina and Georgia State hunts. They are 5 foot tall.

These will be going out to King and Queen of Hunt and Show, and as long as we have atleast 1 bluetick in each category, ALL trophies will be awarded.

we need to get our numbers up at these hunts i would like to here sugestions on what it will take to do that give us the good and bad and the ugley so we can try to boost zone 6 to the number one zone out there !! look at those trophies guys is that a start in the right direction?

Good ?, when you find the answer a lot of folks would like to know. Looks to me like numbers are down on most hunts in all KC's.

Possible answers:

1) Added purse to King and Queen of hunt and show (provided they have competition) (UKC allows this now)

2) Free entry to next zone 6 event (not next hunt or show hunter or showperson attends but next zone 6 event) to K & Q of H & S.

3)Phone calls to other Blue hunters inviting and encouraging them to attend.

4)Youth award for hunt(highest scoring youth with plus points-doesnt have to be cast winner)

5)Dont make members feel like there is a secret society when they ask questions about the going ons of the BBOA. I am the first to say problems do not need to be hashed out on the internet but when talking to an officer true answers need to be given. Members pay the same as officers and need to be treated with respect. If a person feels they are not respected and wanted, chances are they won't be back.

6)If a person doesnt hunt the same line of dogs as you, dont bash them.

7) I know it is hard to do, but try and move around to different people and communicate with them (officers esp). I know we dont realize how it looks when we gather off to the side with our friends that we only see at these hunts, but to the new guy it doesnt feel inviting. We need to welcome them into the groups, introduce everyone there and find out about them. In other words make the new guy feel at home.

thanks this is what i am talking abought sounds good, nobody is perfect just want every body to get along and come to these hunts and enjoy zone 6 needs to be #1 we need to show how we can pull together and have some good turn outs rance is going to try really push the promotions for zone 6 it would be nice to see all thanks again james for your imput we need more imput !!

The SC state Hunt wraps up the dog of the year race. We have a 2 dog tie at the moment with Brian Mcghee and and his S.W. dog and Ronald Kight with his Cody dog. Both are expected to be at the hunt.

The November 15th Ga State Championship will kick off the new race for the Dog of the Year for Zone 6 FOR 2014-2015.

NEW AWARD: THE WINNER OF THE 2014-2015 Zone 6 Dog of the Year will get a FREE Half Page AD run in COONHOUND BLOODLINES on them and their winning dog!

ZONE 6 DOG OF THE YEAR 2013-2014

Wch Fch Ch Grnitech Kights Midnight Blue Cody

A natural from start to finish. Cody has the motor, and the brains. Runs a coon to catch and is deadly accurate. Cody is the pressure on a cast. Split treeing, and having the coon seems to be a natural way of life for Cody. Big mouth and great looks. Good tree dog. Awesome Hound. P.S. Cody Is also reproducing natural pups.
