lincoln is been doing nice this season kindly got me wanting to get back in the hunts with my bad leg.

Lincoln got a loose the other night came in the next morning chewed up real bad. I believe it might have been a coyote. I guess I'm lucky he made it back home. He is healing fine his face is still got a few raw spots.

Weddington dogs

Hi,

Honest Abe had several crosses of Doris' dogs in him. Old blood, keeps the good traits where they should be... in the dogs.

Old time breeders, breeding the old blood. We have got to get the younger hunters involved with breeding for accurate tree dogs or our sport of coonhunting is over.

They will have to legalize spotlighting, jmo.

Yeah times have changed in the competition world it seems from what I've been told. Bad knee keeps me out of the competition world but i still love to hear a good hound that can move a track. What I enjoy more than a honest tree dog is the honest strike dog. If he's honest on the strike he will make the tree count most times. I can stand a dog that runs other dogs until strike is made or bawl and belier and get no where. When he opens his mouth he's got to be ready to drive him if he will do that he may miss one but he want miss many.

MR. LINCOLN

Lincoln has filled out made a beautiful hound everyone see's Lincoln goes on about how good looking he is and how he would make a show dog. Lincoln got a loose on the farm and came back home the next morning eat up bad. Knowing Lincoln would say he had gotten treed while loose. don't no what eat him up guessing coyote got him at the tree. coyotes have been bad on the farm the past couple years and caught the most of my beagles. Hunting Lincoln this past summer I never could get him back on the tree right witch has always been his strongest place in the woods. This man each time I carried him to the woods made me wish I could have put him in a competition hunt. His speed on the ground and his accurate with having MR. COON was so powerful. His dad was a little quitter on track smoother about moving a track then Lincoln but was just as accurate. I have been blessed to have two dogs back to back with there ability on track and there accuracy. just glad to have this same blood that I have been raised with and watched my dad enjoy hunting in his competition days. Me and my cousin Doris Weddington have been able to keep my dads old blood going on.

lincoln

looking for a female to cross with Lincoln found a young female not sure how she's breed. she's running and treeing good. doing well by herself not treeing as good. she's a little bigger than I like. the young fellow owns her is talking about breeding her to Lincoln if he don't sale her.

Lincoln

I got a female the other day to cross with Lincoln will be my first walker cross to make in years. Been hunting this old walker blood since back in the 1970�s. My cousin Doris Weddington has been working hard at keeping my dads old line of walkers going. Doris came by the house last week and seen old Lincoln. He told me he had a female he wants to breed to lincoln. So there maybe a couple crosses maid with lincoln this year.

Clover female

A young man breed a line breed clover female to Lincoln the other day. She is a hard tree dog if she has pups should be a good cross with Lincoln�s ability to move a track and his accurate ability to have the coon. Crossed with her hot nose quick to tree. I would think it would balance out good.
