The cost of the update all depends on the age of the light. Look on the bottom of your battery box. If the date is 4/14 or newer its just $10 for the return shipping. If it is 3/13 or older then it is $10 for shipping and $30 for the parts change. The color can be made brighter but a lot of people are electing to keep it like it is. If you want it brighter just request that in a note in the box. If you would like a different color then do the same thing and ask for it on the note. There is no charge for the color change. Thanks

Thanks, I have a ? You might not be able to answer as it's prolly preference. I have the red led and it's awesome for shinning, but I like the way it spreads out for walking even more. That is why I'm going to change colors to the yellow, do you think there is enough difference between the red and yellow for walking that I don't need the colored led brighter, or would it still be better for walking to have it brighter? If that question makes any sense... Thanks by the way this is a really nice light that I'm happy with, comfortable and bright bright bright!

The change for the color will make it bright enough to walk with the red but the amber is better to walk with. However the red shows eyes a lot brighter. They really stick out with the red led and you can walk with it just not as well as you can with the amber.

We are hoping to have everything that has been ordered out by Wednesday of this week. Vacation and upgrades have really slowed us down. You should see the stacks of upgrades coming in.

That old sunspot push button has a trick to it. Dont click it on and off to go to the next level. Just push it in 1/2 and let go. It will go to the next level. Hope you enjoy them. Thanks!

Had a good question asked to me last night which I would like to forward on to you Michael. Where is the switch located for the colored LED, & what type of switch is it?

Thank you,
Vic

It uses the same switch as the white light. No extra switches. You go backwards from the off position and it turns on the color.

Questions

Michael, I received my light yesterday, looks good!

I"ve got a couple more questions. When you get a new light, does it come fully charged? How long is a normal charge cycle?

It will be about 3/4 charged. From dead to fully charged should take around 4 to 5 hours. I hope you enjoy it. Thanks

Thank you for your answers Michael. Gonna try that rascal out this week!

Will an automotive power port charger for the Ultra HD be offered?

Well Vic there is a reason I do not offer them. I know that some other dealers offer them but I'm afraid of the current rush when you start the truck. It might be nothing but I don't want to risk it. I use a small inverted I got from a truck stop. $20 I think? I use it with my house charger. The other thing is these are high capacity batteries. Those car chargers are designed for cell phones with a low capacity battery. So they charge very slowly.

Sunfire!!

Took mine out for the first time last night and had the brightest light out there. This light brings a lot to the table and a whole new meaning to walking through the woods. The colored LED was impressive as well.

We used those switches on about 150 of the Ultras. We couldn't get our usual ones because the factory had a 4 week lead time on them. So we used those instead.

Burn times for the first through sixth on that light are 360-240-120-70-35 and 2.5 to 3 hours.

Vic, coch20 and JDavidM, thanks for the compliments we are striving to make everyone as happy with our product as possible. Thanks again!

Is the six position switch as good?I traded the guy from valley creek east my 4 position ultra for the six position one and gave him $40 difference. He told me and 2 other guys this switch was an upgrade.Guess it was just a sales pitch that worked.

No sales pitch, It gives you 3x the burn times. I never let John know that they were temporary. So he thought it was a permanent change. They cost me the same amount of money but they add to the build time.
