Tramp was bred to Joel and Jake Appel's NiteCh Ch 'PR' Appel's Blue Oak Gert today. This will be Tramp's first litter, and I couldn't have asked for a better female. Gert has proven herself, and has even reproduced some winning hounds. She is 11 yrs old now, so we have our fingers crossed that she sticks. I hope she does as this cross has me super excited.

Dot is also getting very large, and is due with Jet pups around June 9th. There may be some for sale, contact me if interested.

she should take, I just bred Moose to her sister. I believe. out of Hillbilly and Lady, she had 8 pups! I'm interested in seeing how Tramp reproduces, might breed a female out of Moose to him!!

I like that name! These pups sure are some dandy acting suckers!! Started putting their food up to watch them look for it with their noses. It's kind of neat to see. I should take a video as they'll usually start treeing on it. They always stand up on the kennel door and start treeing when they see me coming. Should have no problems getting these guys to tree!

Had a fun weekend at the WI State BBOA Championship in Valders, WI. My friend Cody came with and handled Dot for me. She lost a NtCh win by a tie breaker Friday night, and won her cast Saturday night, but didn't have the winning score. Tramp looked okay Friday night, just a lot of circle trees. Saturday night he treed some coon that will look. He got 1st place with 837.5+. Pretty exciting weekend!!

Had a great weekend hunting with some real nice young dogs and fun handlers. Glad you got that first last night, we sure had some real trees last night. We are gonna have some fun with our two dogs hunting together, I have a feeling its not the last time.

I definitely don't travel to show off by any means. I enjoy getting away from home and hunting with different people and different dogs. I am a huge fan of 2 night hunts, and being able to bring the camper. The camaraderie and atmosphere that takes place sitting around swapping lies while waiting for dark is what I truly enjoy. Last night I didn't even care if I went hunting, I was just happy to be at a hunt, and to actually relax. I'm sure glad I did go hunting though...

Thanks everyone for the congrats!! It was a great feelling taking what I see when I'm pleasure hunting and watching it carry over into a competition hunt. Tramp was just doing what I usually see him do, strike, move the track, throw a good locate, don't move an inch, and show me a coon when I get there. I'm hoping he just keeps getting more solid as he ages and builds confidence. Time will tell.....

Tramp's first pups were born about a week ago or so. I'd like them to be performance pups so if anyone has a female they'd consider breeding to Tramp, let me know. It will help soften the blow of $300 sire fee plus DNA expenses.
