I remember the days waiting for it to reach 38 so I could go hunting. Shoot, now it might be to cold if it reaches that low. Lol

Got out tonight a bit late made two drops. first drop Treed four den trees with three hounds seen 3 coon in the holes. Second drop I singled out my female bluetick outta jim wales beaverflood nightmare and she showed me the meat on the outside with a double of a couple boar coon. the coon are starting to rub so I'm thinking the gun will stay at home for the rest of the season.

It was a beautiful night last night! I got a late start as well.

The weather was so nice I bet Strokin may have been tempted even with the snow we still have. The moon created a halo as the clouds started to move in.

Made two drops, the first was a bit too quick for my taste. One minute to strike and an additional 2 minutes to tree. Results was a nice boar. Second drop, about 11 minutes to strike and 5 more to tree with a den.

I went sunday got two den trees couldnt go last night or tonight i think tonight should be good, critters like to move before a weather change seen were someone said the coons were rubing so he was going to leave his gun home did he mean rutting?or do coons rub and its rough on the fur ?

Roger,

Rubbing is caused by denning for long periods of time, and/or going in and out of den openings. It breaks off guard hairs, and causes a dark brown spot on the skin under the back of the head and neck area.

You can actually see it fur side and skin side both. It drops the value of the skin.
