Demo is a real nice hound we have been hunting her a few nights a week and she is very good about having her coon when she trees! She has alot of go power for her age she will be 8 in April but sometimes she will get hooked within 300 yards or some nights its .69 miles lol just depends on how the coons are moving. We will be raising a litter or 2 off of her and continue to hunt her. Shes a good asset to our kennels

hey dion just wanted to let you know sandy got number 4 tonight, big moon and heavy frost out. have you been hunting rosco any and how do you take such great pictures at night?

Thats great im glad to see someone else enjoying there Slammer hound! She sounds like shes coming on real nice. Yes i got Rosco out last night with ole maw it was 19 snowing and full moon he tried real hard but only one den and didnt tree on the other tree with her. Im picking the nights with him he just turned 9 months old but i hadnt had him out for a week so i had to go lol. the older pics are from my digital camera or blackberry but i did buy a new phone and it has all the bells and whistles on it so ill be posting alot better pics . Keep Sandy cranking and keep the updates coming. When the spring hits im planning on running rosco in all the hunts i can get to. Then he can really show off!

Update

Well the weather isnt worth a crap lately so not much to update. Rosco is up to 6 coon by himself. Hes doing a great job but dont wanna push my luck with this weather so i will continue to wait for the good nights. Mainly all we have been doing is making sure our hounds stay warm.

the weather is cold and snowy here too. we hunted Monday night and sandy ran a smoking hot track into a old barn. my son clint, his top gun male dog got treed, and he had a den tree. just wondering how old are the le pups?

Glad to hear sandy is still getting after them. How old is the top gun male? Le pups are 6 months old and ready to,get started but prolly wait till spring now. There litter mate ran and treed a drag 1st trip to the woods at night. Take care and keep the updates coming.

hello again,our top gun male red, turned 2 years old in December. red started real easy and is a real pleasure to hunt .red is a big ole dog with a great mouth on him. I really like the looks of the female pup you have off LE.

Good deal sounds like you have a couple nice ones to keep you busy. Thanks on the Le female (Dixie), she is a super smart lil girl. Minds very well should start real easy, her brother is a wild looking dude but acts just as smart as her..I really like them both.So with the 2 Le pups and Rosco i should stay pretty busy. Mawley is 11 now so its time to find a replacement for sure. I struggled for a lil while about selling one of the Le pups because i wasnt sure if i would have time for both of them or not. But decided i would make the time! My son is 17 and he helps out some but he has a really nice male out of Dino he will be 2 in April and hes also hunting Demo for now shes due to come in heat in a couple months. Take Care , hope this nasty weather breaks soon.

Dion the litter mate to your Le pups,,Limited Edition Copper treed a turn loose coon tuesday night..right at 6 months old not a sight chase..worked the track and found the right tree..about spring look out..

Thats awesome!!! Yeah spring will be alot of late nights and hard hunting going on i can feel it.Thanks for the update if you get any pics send them on and ill get them posted.

Took sandy hunting last night before the wind hit us. Sandy treed two singles by herself.she did a real good job running both tracks. We probably won't get to hunt for a couple nights now with the wind.

Thats great !! Weather has been awful here. As far as i can tell roscos season is over. Not worth messing up a 9 month old by putting him out in bad conditions. But if we have some decent nights he will be hitting it hard. Do you plan to run Sandy in any hunts? If so let me know how that goes we have some coming up in march and close so im gonna see what me and rosco can do.

updates

Brought the old girl inside its way to cold for her outside. I gave her a bath and she even got her nails done lol.

And as for the puppies well they are playing in the snow!

But the weather looks like it may let up a little come Thursday thru Sunday so i plan to pound Rosco for a few nights. Sure don't realize how bad you miss going until you cant go!!

And as for me well not good hunting weather so ive been cutting and splitting some wood for next year so my spring is free to pound these pups and young dogs lol

Update

Took Rosco out last night, and he did a great job i havent had him out for awhile because of the weather but cut him loose still snow on the ground and he went right on hunting like an old dog. He was out about 20 min or so and struck 320 yards out he came treed nice locate and steady tree job. i was pretty excited, so i walked on in and it was a stinking snag but went into a few other trees so i was shining real good and i threw some rocks and sticks in the hole of the snag and the coons started carrying on in there he really liked that sound but i couldnt get them out to him. But hes always improving i may have to look at how many young one i have at the house and make some changes. but heres the video i got of him

Made another dump but had some stray dogs come in so we ran them off and called it a night..see how it goes tonight

I liked the video of rosco treeing. I might take sandy to a htx hunt and see how that goes.
