I own a dog b and prefer a dog b I hate a dog that you drop and they blow out of the country. I hunt with a bunch of grand nite whatevers that get DEEP and I have had them get DEEP and my old dog B go right behind them after checking back 2 or 3 times and tree coons behind them. Trust me I have had him put it on a many a grand nite whatevers because of this. All I do is pleasure hunt not in it for the cash or someone else screwing me and calling my dog stuff that would just end in a fist fight trust me I got a short fuse at times. I have turned down big money for my dog b because of it making dog a look stupid....

All hard going, big and wide hunting dogs don't run past coon. That is a different kind called foot racers

i have owned both types of dogs,lots of walking with both types. I like the ones i can control to keep off posted property. dog B would be easier to work with in my area

Dog A as long as it's not a road runner, or a dog racer. I want that dog hunting hard not just in a dead run for a mile, or running trash. A hard hunting dog A will be struck and treed before a dog B. There is a big differnce.

hunting dog

the style of hunting dog you need depends on what part of the country you hunt. where I live I got a 7mth old pup it will tree 6-10 coon in 1 woods be home before 10 pm some times before 9 pm.

Im hunting paulding forest. No feeders. We aint breaking records but weve treed a few.

paulding forrest is no joke.. It takes a sure nuff hard hunting dog to get treed with the meat there..

200 thats not very far but over a mile is to far. i guess im a little picky but i perfer somewere in the middle most of the time. my choice is neither. i cant make dog b go farther so i dont think i would be happy with that one. dog a i would try to control with the tone if that worked out well i maybe could be happy with this one but that tone button better work more times than not.

What you got now ol buddy? It don't matter to me what anyone hunts as long as I don't have to hunt with it regular My perfect dog I think would hunt about 45 min alone. If not struck. Come on back. Im getting to old for these hills. Now on flat land. I don't care if they go to the ends of the earth
