Been cold cold here in the wind chill has had us in the neg. for weeks.....I am wanting to hit the timber soon but we will see what Feb. brings!

Same here, hot soaked food for the dogss, plenty fresh straw, fat in the food for heat, but gonna be awhile before mr coon steps out for chasin!!! Have a great weekend!

Thank you Doug!!Yes sir have to add hot water to feed in our colder climate ......keeps them hydrated and little warmth to there belly.... I have used 3 bails of straw already.\.......always liked the way you take care of your hounds

FYI its bitter cold here in the Hawkeye state as well. only good thing is I don't have the snow...guess I should be tahnkful for that! ha

Jr a week ago I came home late from work and she must have climbed out of her kennel I have rail road ties for a floor the gate was locked

Lesson learned for me ..... Put a top on your kennel.....BigRiver hounds are known for this...

Man it's been nice to be back out hunting again.....Danny has been loving being back to his normal routine of exercise.....

We have a new 9 month old pup that is gonna be special to us... Thanks to Eric Evans..... Eric is a good man and a great friend..Thanks a million buddy!

The Big Red Stumpy

Been hunting Stumpy right along he is progressing nicely.....one hunt that stands out is Mon. night we turned loose and he struck worked a old track couldn't get it up and moveing so I went in and moved him out he went in 600 yes on sec. And restruck pushed a track real nice come treed and had a den!

We moved to another spot turned loose he busted hard struck at about 450 yds moved the track nicely again it sounded alittle colder or rougher track but was doing a good job moving it sure enough he rolled treed 612 yrd.... Went into him and he had a coon sleeping in a crotch we could just see his back! Stumpy for 10 mths old is doing an outstanding job for us.... My two boys and I are having a lot of fun......he's been out 7 of the last 10 days. Plan are to pick back up tomorrow night and hunt him hard through the weekend...had a couple of long days at work! Lol

Eric your a great friend and Thanks for an awesome pup..... Great cross too your blood line is rock solid(strike to tree)from what I have seen in Rico and Stumpy!

We have been having some fun with the hunts this summer....... ..... We have a 2nd on him got a couple more be for coon season starts... Can't wit this will be Stumpys first season!:-)
