We've been hunting Bo every night. 5 degrees and windy or 40 degrees and still.......either way it doesn't matter to him. When he locates just load the gun, grab your knife and go skin another coon.
My boys have decided that Bo needs a hamburger every night on the way home from the woods......I'm afraid he's getting a little spoiled.
My kids love him and he loves them. He trees coon every night and in my book that makes Bocephus an asset to our breed and a part of our family.
Thanks for reading,
James
I sure appreciate all of the nice calls, text and messages that we have received about BOCEPHUS. Thanks to all the folks who are hunting pups out of of him as well. He has certainly been bred to some outstanding females and that says a lot about the confidence that other bluetickers have placed in Bo as a COONDOG and reproducer.
Good Luck
James,
Good luck with him. We sure have a nice one out of him here.
Scott

It doesn't get too cold, too windy or too nasty outside for Bocephus to tree a coon. We've just been cutting him loose, sitting in the truck with the heater on and the windows cracked and going to him when he gets treed. And the GREAT part is that he has his coons on the OUTSIDE when you get to him. Friendliest, nicest, most well mannered hound I've ever owned. I've NEVER heard him bark at the house (not even at feeding time or when we're loading up to go hunting).
Manners and brains count for a lot in my book and Bo has both.

Hey Tom,
Old Bo had a burger from Quik Trip. It was heated in the microwave but he didn't seem to mind a bit.
A promise is a promise and when he's smoking the walkers, a hamburger seems like a small price to pay for such great entertainment :-)
I have a young male out of Bo and I'm positive he will be in the winners circle shortley, I actually see a lot of his daddy in him!!

Devin, his gyp should be around 19 or so months old. Phil Davis has a littermate male that came from Jerry who bought it from Jodi. He is make a nice hound as well. Excellent track dog, and a blow down tree dog.
