Old pictures
I have a couple more pics I will post tomorrow. Only one is black and white and its not coon hunting related but I think it is cool! The other is of my Grand Pa at a later age, in color. I only got to hunt with my Grand Pa(Robert Floyd) for a few times before he passed on but at an old age he could still walk me to death with that walking stick he would always used. When I was a kid I would get the greatest thrill knowing I was going hunting with him, now I mostly hunt by myself and it dont seem the same.

I ran across this old photo the other day of my late grandfather {on the right}Audrey Lee Marshall of Caraway Arkansas and one of his hunting buddies. This photo was taken around 1967 or 68. He loved bird dogs and hounds. I never got to hunt with him as he pasted away in 1970 and I was only 5. I sure would have like to when that night. Look like a WHITE RIVER REFUGE hunt. if anyone else has some old coonhunting photos feel free to post them.![]()
My Grand Pa in color

I guess I am old fashioned.
I hunt with a compass, a decent light and a dog or 2, a old 1972 ruger rifle 10-22. No garmin, no back to my truck device, no shock collar, no tracker ect.
The only concession to 40 plus years ago is a better light thru technology. And I us a blinky light on occassion to keep coyotes away.
or if I want to see how a dog is hunting ( a line or a weave thru woods). We like to keep it pretty simple like folks of the past and yes i still have a carbide light and lantern my grandfather used, even his rifle which sometimes still goes with us.
Have a great night out!! Jeff A.
