Ain't been online for a while, the pups are comin along well, Nite and Taz got another one Saturday night. Tracking ability is getting better and they are finally starting to tree hard. Daisy is taking off and doin it on her own as well. Diamond will put track to tree but wont tree, she's comin along slower than the others but seems to have the better nose so I'm not about to give up on her just yet. I'm excited that the weather is finally warmin up and the coon are moving a lot better now. Also, Nite recently won best of class, best of breed and best male of show at a local show a couple weeks ago, and Diamond won best of class and breed but couldn't pull out best of show. Definitely proud of these pups and ready to move forward with them.

Went out for a lil hunt Friday night with Joe Harvey of Glade Run Kennels. With just pups, they hunted out together for a lil while then we had em all over. Taz and Midnite both struck on different tracks. Nite drove his for about half a mile before we just caught him up because he was getting into bad territory. Taz crossed a run several times then a creek twice, pulled treed then decided it wasn't there and crossed the creek again but lost it along the way. Not a great night but its nights like that and tracks like those that build good dogs.
Saturday night
Had an older track, Nite and Lady split up and worked it two different ways but ended at the same tree. Was definitely proud of Nite, opened good on track and treed better than he ever has. Looks like these pups are startin to turn it up. Here's a pic of Nite on the tree.

Took Diamond and Daisy to a show yesterday, having to put them up against each other sucked but Diamond pulled out the win and brought home best of class, best of breed and best of show. She gets better everytime I show her, hope it wont be long and she'll get that Champion title.

Diamond won another best of class and breed at an English sectional on Saturday, couldn't quite pull out the overall win however. Should finish out to show champion this weekend. Been having crappy rainy weather here so the hunting has been put on the back burner a bit but hope to get the boys out a lil bit this weekend. Hopefully it wont be long and they'll be hunt ready.

Diamond
Diamond is 15 pts away from show champion, one more show should do it, here's a pic of her on the bench

putting time
into 4 is hard work and nearly impossible, good luck with them all

we're really only workin 3, Nite and Taz are on the verge of opening it up, Diamond is lookin like a dud but I'm not gonna give up on her just yet. The Daisy dog my brother is huntin up and she's been pickin it up pretty good. Finished Diamond out to show champion last night, now just gotta get the push to grand. Hope all is well with you, talk to ya soon.
Nice pups ,how old are the three young ones ?
They're 17 months old.
u have some nice lookn hounds.
Thanks, hopefully they'll catch fire in the woods soon. They're almost there, hope to get Midnite in some competitions this year, just gotta work on his confidence. And I'm hoping to get Diamond to Grand Champion but she still needs a lil work too.
like they say itll turn on just like a lite switch.
Yeah that's for sure
but sometimes it seems like the switch is never gona flip tho.lol
Yeah I know that feeling, and unfortunately some just don't make it but I think I have a couple here that are going to, just gotta keep pushin em
I have a 3 yr old im gona finish out,she aint a world beater but I like her,she will live her days out here.she just needs the hair hunted off her and the rite coon put to her.
yeah I don't expect any of mine to be world champions but as long as they do what they're supposed to they'll have a home here. Its just hard to get pups started around here because we don't have that much of a coon population.
yea I bet that is tuff, their a dime a dozen around here.
wish I had that problem
stay on them ,they get there.
Oh I am, Taz is pickin up bear really well, Nite just needs more confidence and he'll be good to go. Diamond for now is being pushed in the shows and has finished out to show champ. The Daisy dog has shown a lot of promise but has been kinda stale here lately.
